How to Apply BLINKING Conditional Formatting in Excel

This video tutorial demonstrates how you can apply blinking conditional formatting to a range of cells in Excel. This solution requires you to use a VBA macro as there is no inbuilt functionality that will achieve this.
In the code provided you can specify how many times the cells blink by changing the number of For Next loops that are performed, by default it is two. Why only two? Whilst the blinking effect is applied the worksheet is unusable as the code is busy looping in the background. I would think carefully about using this effect in a worksheet for this reason.

Thanks Chester - fantastic work indeed! Could you help a fella' out with an upgade of this? I'd like to use this code on a rnge of cells that contain a function - so their values keep changing. The current code 'sees' the function itself as the value so it simply won't work on the desired cells. Could you fix that for me? Many thanks!

Amazing job:) I'm trying to use your code as an example to write similar macro where the name blinks instead of numbers if it's equal to a target cell but I'm not sure how to assign variables in that case.

Oh it actually works without changing the variables, I though because it's text I should change it to String or something. I have used names instead of numbers in SalesField and SalesTarget, but I can use only one name in SalesTarget cell, how would I compare each name with SalesTarget? Would I have to create additional Target cells with individual names or is there a quicker way to compare the names that are the same?
