The heat spike is exactly what happened to me and then a few weeks later nearly all my nail plates separated at the tips

Oh no 😢 so sorry you’ve experienced this. That’s a perfect example of what can happen if you don’t use the custom cure and just endure the heat spike. It will damage your nail bed and cause nail separation. In this event you’d need to cut the nails short, remove product and oil daily until it grows out. So there are a few reason why you’ll experience heat spike and that can be from product application being applied a little too thick, thin nail plates or sensitive nail bed. My advice would be to apply a thin layer of shaper first and cure then come in with a second slip layer and float product where needed for apex. When you place the hand into the lamp, put your fingers at the front of the lamp so they are away from the diodes at the back of the lamp. They will still cure due to the flashing of the lamp, however it won’t be as strong so you won’t experience the heat spike. Then after the 10 seconds you can place the hand fully into the lamp. Let me know if you need any further help ❤

Does filing the free edge at the end not just break the seal you created? X
@nailsbycharleds6 ай бұрын
Hi, you would never file the free edge if it was just shellac you were applying because yes as you say it would break the seal the you have created. However with plexigel or any kind of builder or liquid and powder, if you take a file and angle it under the free edge of the nail, it will only remove the underside of the free edge. What this does is, thin out the free edge giving a clear crisp finish and prevents it from looking bulky. You don’t want to be breaking the seal you have created with the top coat otherwise yes it would break the seal. Hope that helps x

thank you for your video and the educated explanation. can you please advise if these materials are suitable to allergic clients as well? can you tell where i can find these materials? i bought some CND products the regular base / top and color gels which are hypoallergic and i wonder if the materials you use here have the same hypoallergic grade. thanks

Aww thank you, your welcome. I buy all of my CND products from Sweetsquared, as long as you have a certificate as proof of qualification you can set up an account and purchase from them. You can request the msds (material safety data sheets) from them and it will list all of the ingredients. It does have trace amounts of HEMA in the product but is 12 free. I’ll paste a list of the 12 ingredients it is free of…. CND PLEXIGEL™ is 12-Free which means that it is formulated without the following 12 ingredients: Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP, Formaldehyde resin, Camphor, Xylene, Parabens, Ethyl Tosylamide, Triphenyl Phosphate (TPP), MIT, Animal Derived Ingredients & Gluten. Some of these ingredients are commonly known for potentially causing allergies. Hope that helps 😀

Can I apply CND Rescuerxx before Bonder?
@nailsbycharleds Жыл бұрын
Rescue Rx is a daily keratin treatment designed to be used twice a day on the nails to help reduce flaking and Leukonychia, if you apply this under bonder it will act as a barrier. When you use plexigel bonder you do need to etch the nail plate lightly (remove surface shine) and then cleanse over the nail with scrub fresh to ensure the nail plate is free of contaminants. If you use the rescue rx I would imagine you will have issues with lifting

But what if I don't have enough money for the cnd lamp?
@nailsbycharleds Жыл бұрын
I would recommend saving up for the lamp before you use on yourself or clients. You will need proof of qualification to order from sweetsquared and I’d strongly recommend using the system with the correct lamp to avoid any under curing that could then lead to allergies developing.
