How to apply fletching tape with ease! - Traditional archery

I don't like how easily you pulled them off, especially since I am fletching arrows for someone shooting through a whisker biscuit. I like the concept, but for the W.B., I'll pass. Thanks for posting!! This is exactly the kind of footage I was looking for.

I've been a glue guy my whole life but I think I need to give this a go. I do use micro diameter arrows, but still think it might be a better option...especially for small spin wing vanes that I hear require a lot more effort using glue. The bottle test was pretty dang convincing brother. After seeing this I searched some more and found a lot of people using it with spin wing and other small Mylar vanes on micro diameter arrows. So I guess it's more common. Definitely will be trying this when I build arrows for my new recurve.

Total game changer is right. Ive been using fletch tape for years. In fact, most of my feathers have been on for years. I did find that the Bohning brand tape is significantly better than generic stuff.

I always tie my feathers after tape. 6lb monofilament works awesome.

Did u put the cock feather on first? At 120degrees? Then the others at 120?

Yep I always start with the cock feather. There should be a line or notch on the jig you can use to line it up. Also, get in the habit of making one last turn after you fletch the third feather on each arrow, that way when you start the new one, it will already be reset to the cock feathers position.
