Bro, part of Belgium student visa application what kind of health insurance required, any idea please share

International insurance from your home country that is valid in Belgium should be enough but you check out comments on my visa video, there you might find the answer :)

How much approximately can it be for about 3yrs
@joshibaba.24 күн бұрын
Belgian insurances depend on the provider and your state like if you are a student or a working professional. For students its obviously less about 25 Euros a month and for working professionals, the insurance is partly paid by the employer :)

I have a question, I live in France and will move to to Belgium to work, I discovered that my France insurance was real, after 1 year I found that my employer did not register me in social security properly. Any way, my question is that I want to buy medical insurance in Belgium before I get there and before I apply for my single work permit, how I do so? I do not have any documents in hand that proves that I am going to be employed in Belgium, so How I get a medical insurance in belgium while I am in France ?
@joshibaba. Жыл бұрын
I believe you can still wait till you get employment contract from Belgian employer as unless you are registering for international insurance they will ask Belgian residence permit. But I suggest you can verify specific details from insurance providers website and contact them in case of confusion.

Is health insurance necessary for visa application? It is given in checklist for student d type visa. Please clarify
@joshibaba.2 жыл бұрын
As far as I remember, I wasn't asked to show my insurance during the visa application but once you in the country it is mandatory have the health insurance. For travel insurance, you can surely find good deals on policy bazar, but there you need to specify the traveling dates (which you can only after having the visa in hand). If the checklist says its mandatory then you can a cheap insurance with tentative travel dates just for safety:)

@@joshibaba. It's actually number 9 on the list of documents needed. It reads "Proof of full medical insurance (not just basic travel insurance) in Belgium covering the duration of your stay in Belgium". For me I was considering to pay medical insurance of like 3 months for the sake of getting this document and then use it for visa application, will that option work?
@joshibaba.2 жыл бұрын
Yup, I just verfied the same. When i applied for the visa, insurance wasn't mandatory for me. In that case you can try opting for 3 month international insurance from India or you can also have an online appointment with some of the insurance offices in Belgium as I can't say anything with 100% assurity..

Where exactly do we have to pay contribution fee of 209 euro? Can we pay this at vfs? Is handling fee 180 different? Please clarify
@joshibaba.2 жыл бұрын
Yes you do have to pay that at the vfs. For me, I exempted from paying contribution fees due to scholarship but I dont remember about handling fees. Also, if you have received any confirmation regarding mandatory insurance for visa, please do post it here as well :)

how long does it take? I need the health insurance. I have my permit, I want to extend my permit and my appointment is close.

Typically it takes around 3 weeks after you have applied, but in case of emergency like this i would try requesting the insurance provider:)

hey hi i want to know that is it necessary to have a medical insurance for visa or when applying for visa ?
@joshibaba.2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have noticed they added it as a new mandatory document from this year. I had no such requirement, I can only recommend to check with vfs helpline or someone from facebook groups like Indians in Belgium who might recently received a visa. If you found the answer, please do post here as well which can help others :)

i am applying for a visa type d from india. do i need to get insurance from india first ?
@joshibaba.2 жыл бұрын
You can just apply for travel insurance for the duration of travel (2days or so), but you don't necessarily need to have international insurance from India for student visa. once you arrive in the country then you need to get one here. I hope it clarifies your doubt:)
@jineetmehta88562 жыл бұрын
@@joshibaba. bro can you please tell how long it took your visa to arrive after application at VFS ?
@sharmaakshat95302 жыл бұрын
Hey Shashank, thankyou for all these insights, but can you please clarify whether the health insurance is mandatory to have for an int. student? And if one would have to opt for it pre arrival?
@joshibaba.2 жыл бұрын
I am glad it was helpful:) Insurance is mandatory while renewing your visa either for work permit and student visa extensions hence it is advisable to enroll after arriving in the country. But you cannot have it pre arrival as you need to register for permanent address in Belgium.

For student visa typeD do we need to attach bank statement and income tax return if we have already received financial certificate from university by blocked account.
@joshibaba.2 жыл бұрын
If you have a blocked account certificate then you don't need to attach anything generally (unless specified).
@namanawasthi40602 жыл бұрын
Hey Shashank, I have a question regarding the blocked account process - how did you transfer the funds from India? I tried using wise ( formally known as transferwise) but the maximum amount transferable is 650,000 inr. I would like to know the time it took for you to get the ‘ Financial Certificate’. Best regards, Naman
@joshibaba.2 жыл бұрын
I transferred it via indian bank transfer, it takes about 3-4 working days to get the money for the school:)
