Hi No, they are not! I know that you should’ve graduated before you’re able to write plab and once you graduate you can’t apply for medical electives. You will be able to apply for medical observerships instead. This will give you the opportunity to shadow the doctors practicing at a facility of your choice first-hand. Do you have any questions??

@@rehabrk most hospitals offer observership roles. You just need to apply (and maybe get interviewed) and once you get offers you can make your pick.

Yes they can It all depends on what you want to achieve and if you know what you’d be up against. For students in Ukraine who choose to do their electives here, it’s cheaper, and a fair option. For students who don’t school in Ukraine who choose to do their electives here, expect an overload of culture shock and communication problems at once (except you have prior travel history down to these parts or you look forward to practicing medicine here).

Hi there You can only apply for medical electives while in medical school. After medical school you are eligible to apply for observerships. . Observerships are essentially like electives but more will be expected from you (in terms of knowledge, preliminary examinations and diagnosis). I hope this helps
