H, This is Titus here. First of all, congratulations on successfully bringing your mom to your convocation! I’m currently in my last semester, which will end by March 2025, and I’m planning to invite my parents from India for my convocation as well. I wanted to ask, do I need to wait for something specific, like an official convocation invite from my university before starting their visa process? Or can I begin the process now? Also, once I get the invite for myself, does that make it easier to invite my parents? Lastly, is there any way we can connect personally? I’d really like to understand this process better from your experience. Thanks in advance for your help!

i have one question in the place of applicant national document can we submit any other document because its asking for issue date and on aadhar card we are not provided with issue date can we take drivers liscence or some other document which have issue date on it

@@chaitanyaashtekar9690 Hello , 1. For proof of funds it can be in your savings or any investments like fixed deposits or any other investments. 2. While applying visa just mention that they will be in Canada for 2-3 months if the purpose of visit is convocation. 3. If you apply for more than 2 family members, then the file gets weaker as the govt thinks there’s no intention to go back

Hey my brother in law has a PR in Canada and he has shared a invitation letter where he has attached his banking statement for proof of money in the account. So do I have to provide my financial statement also. And for how many years do I get the visa for?

@@manassharma5612 yes if you provide your proof of money then it will be a stronger profile. I am not sure exactly about the new guidelines that for how long IRCC is giving visa but you should go ahead and apply asap
