Good News: Sri Lankan ETA is making a come back soon. :) The new SriLankan eVisa has been scrapped.

Note: 1. Children under 16 years of age possessing separate passport(s) should submit individual application(s) 2. Sri Lanka has exempted many countries with the requirement of ETA but their official website still lets you apply for one. Please read if your country is exempted before applying. If in confusion you can also opt for visa on arrival (if applicable) 3. In Sri Lanka, Visa free means you still have to get your evisa on arrival but don’t have to pay for it. The counter for visa is different than the one for immigration. As soon as you land, get your evisa on “Visa on Arrival” counter. It will just take a minute. Post that take an arrival form and fill it, you will find it easily where people will be filling it. You should also be able to fill arrival form online. Once you are done with both join the queue for immigration. I had to join the queue twice as I had missed both arrival form and Visa on arrival for free visa, which was time consuming. Hope you guys don’t repeat my mistakes.

I am a former citizen of Lanka. But now I have Italian citizenship. Now that I am coming to Lanka as a foreigner, I do not need to apply the EViSa. So at the last,there is the "declaration" box. I cant understand that 3 poits of that "decoration" part. Can you help me with that?

Okay let me try to break the points down. 1. Residence Visa - This is a separate visa that is provided for residential facility, you can apply for this as well. But this is completely different Visa. You can google about it. If you do not possess it, just mark it as "No". 2. Currently in Sri Lanka - I assume you about to visit Sri Lanka so you are not currently in Sri Lanka, so you should mark this as "No" 3. Multiple entry visa- Again do you possess any type of Sri Lanka Visa, here it is specifically multiple entry visa? I am guessing you do not have any visa. So this will be a "No". I hope I was able to explain. Please reach out if you need any more clarifications. Also, let us once you get your visa.

There were recent changes and some controversy regarding the Sri Lankan eta/visa. I will be uploading a new video soon. Also, check if your country passport is exempted from visa. In that case you don’t need to apply. There are few counties exempted from visa.

Hi, according to the official website (eta.gov.lk/slvisa/visainfo/faq.jsp#17) this is the answer: "Once an application is submitted processed and payment is made, you cannot cancel the transaction and the payment cannot be reimbursed. Therefore, please ensure that you enter your personal details correctly. If you have made an error, it is important that you correct it before confirmation. Once you have confirmed the details, your electronic payment card (credit card/e-commerce enabled debit card) will be debited for the non-refundable service charge. If you find out later that you have made a mistake, then you will have to submit a fresh application and pay the relevant fee again." What you can do is see if your country passport is eligible for visa on arrival and wait for the application submitted to be processed. If your visa is approved you can carry that and in case it is not accepted during immigration, apply for another visa on arrival on the airport. You can also try calling them if they are not replying to your email - eta.gov.lk/slvisa/visainfo/contact.jsp And in worst case you can re-apply. But I hope your issue gets resolved without reapplying. Do let me know if it works.
