Aren't you supposed to send a self-addressed special delivery envelope along with your application to get your BRP back?

Yes, you are. Your BRP is a very personal document, and thats why you need a special return envelope. when they delivered it back, there must be someone to receive it. Otherwise, they will return it to their office for further delivery arrangements.

Hello Joi, i have a very important question , i have completed and paid my provisional license Application on the Old Portal, i was told that i will receive the application completion form in the post , i know that identification like passport will be required to send with it back to the DVLA , so how long will it take to get my passport back , or do i have to wait until the Driving Card is being issued .? is the process being considered as ONLINE Application or is it POST Application.? If you have your BRP card, it's the easiest to use. When posting to the DVLA, make sure to include a paid return envelope that will come with your BRP/passport. This two documents will come in separate days. I got my documents after two weeks
