If you want to authorize someone regarding selling out your immovable property (House, Plot, Flat, Shop, Plaza etc), you are required to write/execute a Special or General Power of Attorney in favour of that person. To Execute a Special or General Power of Attorney, you are required to purchase stamp papers. In these days, the Stamp Papers for this purpose are purchased from Bank of Punjab. To purchase the stamp papers, you should apply online by visiting website es.punjab.gov....
In this video, I have told you the procedure how to apply online for obtaining/purchasing the Stamp Papers for Power of Attorney. If the power of attorney relating to an immovable property is being executed without consideration in favour of father, mother, sister, brother, grand parents, grand children, the amount is to be paid is Rs. 1200/- + 25 (registration), therefore, total amount is Rs. 1225/-. However, if attorney is being executed with consideration, then different stamp duty and registration fee is required to be paid.
