stumbled on this video and its so good and really detailed! I grew up in the UK and am applying to unis here. Just wanted to comment and say to anyone who is struggling with the personal statement the biggest thing we get told is to not talk about our grades and just write about why we want to study the subject etc - the people looking at your application will be able to see your grades as theyre in another part of your application. And if it is any comfort pretty much all A Level students hate the personal statement and spend forever writing it, there are so many really helpful youtube videos that we all use to help us. Love this video

Are A levels equivalent to college level because I’m applying after completing my first year at a university in America? So I’m not sure how to put my uni grades in
@kawaiielephant77724 ай бұрын
No A Levels are like AP exams or ACT just apply as someone going in with an undergraduate degree

Can you choose to withhold certain AP exam scores? So can I submit a 5 from gov but withhold a 3 from macro?
@kawaiielephant77724 ай бұрын
You can in the USA but I think in the UK they don't follow the same laws so they can make you submit all your grades and resits

Hey girl, loved the video, my question is, I want to study aboard in Edingburgh for fall 2024, do I have to do the UCAS before jan deadline?

There is a KZbin channel called Madi Graham. On this channel she talks about this in her first video on her channel and has a bunch of videos about University of Edinburgh and applying as an international student.

if you want to study as a full-time student (for four years) then yes!! if you are already a student at another university, there might be different deadlines for study-abroad programs :)

Should I report my future AP tests that I don't have a score for yet?
@kawaiielephant77724 ай бұрын
Yeah you'll get a "conditional offer" if you get the grades that are required.

For UCAS test submissions do I submit my SAT, ACT, and AP or just use one of them?
@idkpayton8 ай бұрын
it depends on the requirements! it is likely that you can use a mix of your best scores, as each uni + program will have their own set of requirements. it's most important to send in whichever scores are the best + meet those requirements

Why are you going to study in UK? Is US education worse than UK? @@
@idkpayton Жыл бұрын
not necessarily!! if you watched the segment about why/why not to apply to uni in the uk, i listed several of my main reasons! studying internationally has always been something i’ve wanted to do and i simply feel that the experience i’ll be getting might be better tailored to my learning style/have more of an intense academic focus then the schools i was deciding between in the us.
