I bought this for a scar from brain surgery that goes straight down my part. I often get dark puffs on my scalp with the pump, will smudging it in help as well? I thin all over due to medication but thin even more on my right side because I lost all my hair bulbs from the surgery. I also use dark black, would going down a color also help with the blending? I appreciate you making this video, there aren't many curly hair demonstrations.

Hi thank you for sharing. Sometimes using a clean fluffy makeup brush can help smooth out those puffs. I would suggest using a shade that matches your hair best. In my case I believe I'm using dark brown which is still pretty dark.

How does this product differ from just using some dark brown eye shadow? (Which is what I've been using). Are these fibers maybe better for the hair and scalp? Maybe they'd last longer too. Just wondering, as I started thinking maybe eye shadow isn't good to be putting around my edges after all. Any insight appreciated.

Hi Kim, the fibers actually attach to the hair and bulk up the strand as oppose to an eyeshadow that lays flat on the scalp. I feel the fibers do last longer. I've done a video also with the eyeshadow and this is way more convenient. It's not as cost-effective but I still like it better. I don't wash my hair everyday and although it's faded a tiny bit the next day, it still does the job.

This is only for covering and concealing bald spots/edges. There is nothing in it that will help with growth. But yes I do think this is great for someone that wants to conceal as they are growing those areas back. Hope that helps.

Yes, it does but when you apply it matters. If your bun is loose, apply it before putting your hair up. If it's tight apply after. I highly suggest the spray applicator for precise application. Especially is you have wide parts, you can make them look thinner.

I don't think so as the keratin fibers attach to the hair. However, I always wash my hair twice a week to ensure I have a clean scalp.

Yes, this is temporary. If you wash your hair every day you will need to reapply but if you don't then the color gradually fades.

I still have the same bottle and I think I filmed this over a year ago. However, I only use it as needed and at this time I had significant hair loss around that area. I only used it once or twice a week after washing as the color stayed on for a couple days.

+Rebecca S Thank you! I find that it doesn't really move. It does come with a hairspray to seal it but I don't use it. It slowly fades after a couple days but still prominent. Even in hot temperatures I don't find it to move. Hope that helps.

+tinycurls Not really, it kind of moves it around. When I'm using edge control I love using Ampro protein styling gel (The black tinted one) and that seems to add color. I did a video on it. How to hide your bald spots...You can find it on my video list.

This is only meant to be a temporary fix but dye is not the same or necessarily going to help areas that are thinning either. This has keratin fibers that attach to the existing the hair make the area appear fuller. Since I don't wash my hair every day, I don't have to apply every day. Just after the hair is dry and yes, it will fade a little bit after a few days. I've never had problems with it staining my clothes.

Yes but be careful with certain styles like tight ponytails. If I do a tight sleek ponytail, I sleek it back first then spray the toppik. You can seal it with hairspray after.
