Hi, what happens if the person is a child for example and trespasses onto land? would the parents be responsible?

the law recognises a principle known as vicarious liability, which holds parents responsible for the wrongful acts of their children in certain circumstances. Under this principle, parents can be held liable for any damage or injury caused by their child if it can be shown that the child's behaviour was foreseeable and that the parent failed to take reasonable steps to prevent it.
