Thanks for the reply to my comment from the other video. I see what your doing but this is the method im doing. When I grab the decal with the tweezers the decal crinkle together . If I try to slightly slide it off to grab it it'll stick to my finger . I guess I need to practice more. Idk. Probably try foils or something.

You definitely can use regular nailpolish and cap it in with gel topcoat. The important thing is that the regular nailpolish has to be fully dry and hardened out before going in with the gel topcoat 😊

I can slide them off the backing, but once I pick them up with the tweezers, they start curling up, which makes placing them really hard! I didn't see yours do that though.. Do I need to leave them in the water longer? What am I doing wrong?? 😅

It might be the decal, sometimes when they are a little thicker they have the tendency to curl up >.< You can slide it off and use a longer tweezer to keep the decal from curling, or just place it with your fingers only :)

I do think they work best on a little bit of textured surface such as a regular polish or gel polish, haven't tried it on a bare press on nail before but I guess if you'd seal it in with a top coat of any sort it could definitely work 😊

I usually put an opaque white or other light colour underneath to make sure the colours of the decal show nice and bright :) Some decals are very thin and a little see through, so putting them on a dark colour or no coloured polish at all might dull them out.

Do you have to put polish on your nails to use the water decals?

I haven't tried applying them straight onto naked nails, or at least I can't remember ever doing that. I guess that if you want to keep a naked clean nail look without any coloured polish and add water decals, you can simply add a clear base coat first since the decals will need something to stick onto. I think a clean naked nail is too smooth/slick for the decal to adhere to 🤔 But if you try to apply them onto clean nails, let me know how it works out! 😊

How do you get ride of wrinkles in the decal once you place decal?

If you work fast and/or there's still a bit of water left underneath the decal, you can easily rub the wrinkles out on the nail with your finger or for example a silicone tool 😊

How does this work with dip powder ? At what step is the water decal supposed to be placed ? And is top coat not necessary? I did dip powder on my mom and put the decal then top coat & it discolored the decal. So upset /:

I've done exactly what you said in the video but as soon as I go to slide the decal off of the paper it falls apart or curls up. I tried using my finger and some tweezers to slide them off but neither worked for me. Idk what I'm doing wrong 😣

hmmz 🤔 it seems like it's all on the decal then! Have you tried another sheet or even brand of decals? I've only had super curling ones when the decals were kind of thick. The thinner the decal is, the easier it applies :)
