I like the variety in how you present your videos but always with useful information that you demonstrate. The music and ambient street noise that carries through the stills really creates continuity. Excellent tips that I will practice on my 1st trip abroad next month.

mine would be: - be prepared for a ‘no’; just go with it - be approachable; speak clearly and show your interest towards your potential subject - compliment them; “i like your dress”/“your appearance is aesthetically pleasing in my eyes”/etc. - direct, not command; tell your subject to imagine a pose instead of prompting them (this can also help done by having a chat with them, as insights from your subject will help you direct poses better. communication is key!) - be grateful and show them the results; say “thanks” and go show the best shots of your subject

thanks for sharing your thoughts with me. i agree with most of them except for the 4th, direct or commanding both imply staging, which I am totally against. I want my work to be candid. thanks a milllion for watching!

@@wiandryadiwasistio2062 thats so nice!... I dont consider street portraits part of the street photography genre tho unfortunately. I think it works more as documentary work, any sort of directing for me is a no-go in street photography. ...but it's an opinion only! not discouraging intended

Honestly, I just keep the DR setting on auto. I mainly shoot manual, and usually use ISO 400, so I think the DR is set to 200 by default. I shoot RAW using the PROVIA film simulation and edit the files on Capture One. Thanks for watching

Hi, Beautiful photos both in this and in the other videos. I would like to ask about zone focusing. How do you adjust the focus distance depending on the aperture value? When you photograph at f/16 and set the distance to 1.5 m, almost everything is in focus. How do you work when the amount of light doesn’t allow you to stop down the aperture that much? Do you focus manually for each scene, or do you shift the focus point somewhere?
@eortizfoto20 күн бұрын
It really depends on the scene. But as a rule of thumb, I always try to keep my aperture closed at f5.6 minimums and set the other values accordingly, iso as high as possible and shutter speed as long as even 1/30s. It all depends on the moment, sometimes I open the aperture.
