Thanks for the video. As a beginner you have opened my eyes into understanding the importance of learning the accompaniment of the songs I learned and then the melody 😎🙏🏽 God bless!!

I love the piano. I've been playing for about three years. I travel a lot for work so there are times that I don't get to play for days, but when I get back to it I'm always impressed that I get better and better. Even though I can't play any actual songs, I enjoy it.

Jason, this was a great video, and you are so right about a bottom up approach. I would add that incorporating some chord tones in the right hand along with the melody makes a fuller, more complete sound. Your fillers are so nice. Please do a video on how to add fillers to a melody or bass line!

Sir, Basically I am a drummer. Except for the riffs you play (that is very very difficult for me), I will practice every exercise you say without fail. I practice 4 hours a day, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. But when I sit in front of the keyboard in front of everyone in church, my bp increases. Fingers do not move. I play all mistakes as mistakes. I leave all the arpeggios and melody and play like drums on the keyboard. What to do to get rid of fear. If there is any way tell me sir.

I think most all of us went threw this at some point. Practice the music until you can play it in your sleep. I talked people into sitting in the room as I practiced. Went away over time. Good Luck.

Keep at it. Play when people are around, not necessarily as a captive audience always. The more you play in front of people, the easier it gets and the better you play.

Hi Jason, I always sat at the piano using middle C as the center- then I saw a video saying F is actually the center of the piano. I tried that, shifting 2 inches to the right and it kinda mucked up my muscle memory. Would greatly appreciate your comments. Thank you
@jd-gb1vf
@jd-gb1vf Ай бұрын
Do the maths. The center is actually between E and F. 26 white keys < E and 26 white keys > F.
