It's beautiful, Julie! Before you started adding the colour, I thought I preferred it with just the white and green, but it is so cheerful and casual with all the colour. Love that the flowers were muted pastels. Very country!

Oh Julie what a fabulous arrangement! I absolutely love all the colourful hues. The eryngiums are spectacular. I think I must be a country girl at heart; although I live in a city I love all the cottage garden flowers.

Greetings from Texas, where it's 400°F (I'll let you convert to °C), the only flowers left to arrange are crisp and decidedly not green and bouncy, and instead of birds singing in the shade we have the maddening drone of cicadas amid the blinding sun. Your gorgeous arrangement assembled in such a lovely, tranquil setting and the calming sound of your voice are a much-needed getaway. Great job. Thank you. P.S. And yes, although it wouldn't have been nearly as beautiful as your arrangement, mine would have included every flower I could find since I'm not very good at "restraint."

I just sold bouquets this morning at our farmers market which included fennel seed heads! I just foraged them from my veg garden. Got some compliments--but I guess I wasn't original after all!

Beautiful! I loved the colours added but think my preference would be just the white. Loved the fennel added. My dahlia's don't seem to last long when cut, would you say about 5 days is the most you can get out of them?

Hi Sonja - I find dahlias don't last long at all once picked. 5 days sounds about right. I added more flowers in the end because I felt my vase was a bit bare x🌸

Actually I cheated - I didn't grow them. I bought them from a local lady who grows them (sssh ... don't tell).
