Hey, for anyone needing help with the e-rings, I did too (arthritis). I found out that if I got a pair of pliers and gripped the e-ring right at the tip I could easily push it on. Worked like a charm! Great video! Glad I am not the only late bloomer!

A good handyman would not laugh in your face, he would actually do it for little or no money. A bad handyman would just keep quiet and take your money. So glad you got it put together on your own. It's always so nice to accomplish something we're not sure we can do! Hope you enjoy your new mower.

OMG! i bought this mower from the Salvation Army last Saturday and tried to use it, but something funky was going on with it. It wasn't in a box, but was brand new, so went for it. You just helped me fix it, and I just cut part of the backyard! Thank you so much for this video!!!! You're welcome. They are slippery buggers. The handles are so tight you might be able to get away with leaving them off, at least until you can snag a strong young man to help put them on. I hope you enjoy your reel mower as much as I do.

landlord left this mower behind in a box out in the weather, but the box kept it safe ... but i have none of the screws, etc . but the video is great! also, for putting on grips (also on bicycles), hairspray is also good . helps 'em slide on then dries sticky and keeps 'em in place

If you're in America your local hardware store should be able to help you find screws and nuts to put it together. Just bring the handle bars with you and reference the video if need be. Good luck. I know you'll love it.

Hmm. That's weird. Make sure the guide bar is facing back towards you. Remember the handle swings backwards and forwards. If it's in the wrong position it will only go one way. Also, check the wheels to be sure nothing is stuck in them, and check to be sure that there is nothing sticking in the blades.

The handle is usually tight enough it won't come off. I would just use it without them.
