A water pump. Because every moonshiner had access to a water pump and the electricity to run it. What the actual flock, dude? For $100 I kind of expected ALL the parts, including a water pump that is made in China and probably costs 50 cents U.S. to make. Having said that, I must say I got all the parts and they all fit like they were supposed to, except for one boiling pot leg that needed a little help screwing on.

the white cone is placed when you want to use the pot as a fermenter. I use a glass carboy so I can see the yeast action after I pitch

IMPORTANT NOTE: do NOT use this distillery if you do not have a chemical rust remover and definitely do not use it for a fermenter, some nuts and threaded materials and the valves are not made of stainless steel or otherwise oxidization resistant materials, it is prone to rusting in some spots and if unchecked can cause serious medical problems like tetanus, if the person who makes these is reading please consider investing in stainless steel bolts and nuts and valves, this product is supposed to be food grade, I am otherwise happy with the product, it works as intended and it's a reliable little still

This is my problem lol. I’m new to the stills and waiting on mines getting delivered. I’ve been watching loads of videos of the process of making my own whiskey and my biggest question was about the fermenting, am I right in saying that I’m better using a fermenting bucket? The moonshiners series has literally took over my life 😃

@@llrconstruction7606 a fermenting bucket is a great way to start, you can also use other food grade containers such as milk or soda bottles just as long as you add an airlock. and just so it is said, please dont use a distillery to refine alcohol without a license, ethanol vapors are highly explosive, I use it to distill essential oils

Hello, I just bought a 100 liter distiller through Amazon from the same company. I have been emailing with the company. email is [e-mail] I find their pump is to small. You want that cold water to circulate as fast as possible. Also told the company they need to put a proper manual and instruction with the unit. The 100 liter unit I bought has an electric probe. At start up, I will plug in the both cords. (220 Volts) When both are plugged in, it draws 45 amp. So you better have the proper power supply. Once the unit is at 60 to 65 celcius, I unplug the thicker chord, and carry on with the thinner chord that runs the single electrical probe. I do essential oils, and want the temperature around 60-65 C. Hope this helps. Thanks from Chilliwack, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada

The one ive got only has two holes in the lid so obviously one has to be for the pipe to the top pan but do I put the temperature guage or the funny shaped plastic thing ( is that the exhaust?)in them? Also there is only the female nut and no male one to go on the underside of lid for the ?exhaust. I thought this would be simple to set up and use. I only want to distill some water but I have had to buy a water pump and different fittings and try and join hose pipes etc. Now its getting frustrating. Can anyone help please?

i seem to be having some issues with the lid and seal, i can not seem to get it to completely seal, there is always some leaking,... any advice ? ..... never mind, think i figured it out : once it gets to temp & pressure - release valve and clamps where leak is and gently pull on the seal with a pair of pliers until it pops back into place and seals.

Be careful not to tighten the lid down on to the seal in a circular sequence 1-2-3-4 as this would drive any slight unevenness round the seal to build up when you tighten the final clamp. Note that the demonstrator tightens clamps 1 and 3 first, but only positions clamp 2 loosely in place until he's ready to tighten down 4, then does 2 and 4 together - a bit like an auto mechanic would tighten up the bolts on a cylinder head.

I'm seriously trying to distill water and you don't even give a hint as to how.. I thought this was a complete set and now I need a pump? For what? What's the purpose? Where do both the hoses go? More info is needed. The fact that I had to come on KZbin for installation is downright F*****

Bottom hose is cool water in (from pump or faucet) top hose is water out. The water cools the copper coil to condense your vapor (water or alcohol). To distill water fill pot approx 3/4 full of water. Put on lid. Connect cooling water to condenser. For water heat to boiling (212° f) for alcohol heat to 174°f. Vapor will condense in copper coil and come out the single copper tube from the condenser. If alcohol toss the first few mls, it's poison.
