You've just received a new airplane for your Birthday, Christmas, or simply because you deserve one. Here's a few things to know when assembling it!
Model shown is a Pipistrel Virus SW, Fuel injected Rotax 912is, IFR equipped.
Tips-
Unlock spoilers (if equipped) before installing wings
Insert Right wing first (it's just easier that way)
Wiggle spoiler lever and control stick when wing root is near the fuselage to connect the controls easily.
Have 3 people, or 2 people with an adjustable wing stand available to hold a wing at the correct hight to align spar pin holes.
Set elevator trim to full nose down position to make installing elevator and horizontal stabilizer easier.
Triple check all nuts and bolts are tightened and locked in position
READ THE FACTORY DOCUMENTATION!!!

Ed T.- "you guys seriously need to buy some pavement"
My reply-
I know! Its really a funny story. It's a new hangar on privately owned land, and the pavement was on order until the County issued a stop work order. We're actually in the middle of two separate lawsuits with the Whitecourt Airport management (County of Woodlands) over issues related to poor taxiway pavement elevation planning, and municipal/federal jurisdictional overstepping issues. So... the concrete is on hold until those matters are solved in the courts.
The Mayor of Woodlands county's name is Jim Rennie. Feel free to send him and all of the councillors an email asking why they continuously make it so difficult for people to do business at the Whitecourt airport.

Maybe I'll dedicate an entire video series to this subject once the courts make their decisions.
