@Ho11ow661 Жыл бұрын
Wow, yours goes in and comes out so easy. I tried to put mine in and even put a tremendous amount of force and all I got was it "almost" on 😢

Why do do reuse ur scapels? In germany we just use scapels for one time.
@Spinal21115 жыл бұрын
The blades aren't reused....the handle can be. There are both disposable and reusable ones, depending on the situation. But you don't go to the dentist and they have disposable picks,...they're cleaned and reused. Imagine the cost every time you'd have to replace one, not to mention excess waste.

A way better/safer technique - don't remove the scalpel from the package. (Don't touch another tool to it, keep it sterile.) 1) Peel scalpel package partly open. 2) Expose only enough of the blunt end/notch - to fit the handle. (No sharp edge should show.) 3) Grasp the package by the sharp end firmly, (and the flat side, obviously) - between thumb and forefinger in your non-dominant hand. Firmly, so the blade doesn't slide around when you insert the handle. (You don't have to worry about the blade cutting you, it's in the package.) 4) Grasp as close to the exposed (slot) end as possible. 5) With dominant hand, pick up handle. 6) Insert handle by coming up from the bottom, between blade underside and package. (Slide it along the blade notch, beneath it.) 7) Tilt it towards you, so you can see line in the handle. Guide the handle through the slot, until the blade becomes the white of the oreo in the handle's cookie. You'll feel it "catch." 8) Stop. Let go of blade. 9) Invert the scalpel handle - with your dominant hand in a knife-murder-stabbing position, push firmly, but forcibly, the scalpel blade (still in package) vertically downwards onto a soft, yet firm surface. Like a block of wood. (Notebook.) 10) You'll hear and feel it "click" into place. Once you get the hang of it, you can do it swiftly. Swift, and confident, is actually better than something slow. Slow may bend it. Remember, steel this thin is fragile. Don't pound it, but don't baby it either. Once in place, remove the wrapping. Ready to use. (But please, do not murder with it.) Is it stuck? Remove the blade with pliers later. Move on to your backups. Try again. Remember - do not murder. Edit: Also, to get it off, no need to reach for tools again. Put the scalpel wrapper back on the blade. Hold handle firmly with dominant hand. Take your non-dom's thumb/forefinger and, from below, pinch the non-sharp bit closest to handle. (Underside of blade area.) Bend the bottom tip of the blade up. Don't bend too far or not enough. The sweet spot - lifts the blade off the back of the handle notch. Now just pinch the blade, through the package - and pull it off. Fold up the rest of the package, and discard. Now you don't have to be afraid of scalpels! Ever again!

Thank you for this clip ! I need some assistance, though it may seem irrelevant, I am into leather craft, and heard scalpel knives are very useful, how ever the seller gave me a scalpel handle no 3 along with a number 24 blade, and I just cannot seem to slide it thru. I think the seller either gave me the wrong handle or the wrong blade. I would like your advice as to what number blade would be suitable for cutting 2 mil leather? Would it be the number 10 blade you in this video or would a number 24 blade be more suitable for my purpose with I assume a number 4 scalpel holder? Much appreciate a response and thank you in advance 🙏🏼
