I have the same setup. Note, the adapter from Comms Gear is a tight fit to the 3M Peltor ARCs - but they do fit. I suggest you test fit them together BEFORE mounting to the rail on the HHV. Very important - do NOT over tighten the screw and t-nut of CG adapter to the rail. If you do so, it will cause a slight bend in the slot where the ARc has to slide in and you won’t be able to get it in. The bend caused by the overnighting is is not really perceptible to the eye, but if over tightened it IS there and you won’t be able to slide the ARC in. Also, if you look at the back of the CG adapter - the part that rests against the HHV rail, there are two very small rectangular shaped “nubs”. When the CG adapter is resting in its place (I used the lower center hole) against the rail, you can see those nubs are touching the edges of the HHV rail. When the screw and t-nut are tightened, those nubs further cause the bend in the slot and again make it very hard to get the ARC in. I used a razor blade and shaved about 1.5mm at a 45 degree angle off of each of the nubs right at their point of contact with the rail. That allowed me to thighten the t-nut just a bit more than otherwise and I was still able to slide the ARC in. CG posted a reply in here where they said it’s supposed to go in the center, lower slot of the rail - that is correct. To access the back of the slot to put on the t-nut, you have to remove the rail. It’s simple, the rail is held in place with three small Philips screws accessible from the inside of the helmet shell. I have had both Walkers Razors and Howard Leight Impact Sport ear pro. The HLs are similar in price but WAAAY better than the Walkers IMO. If you want a decent comms solution to go with the HLs and these ARCs, get this PTT and boom mic that mounts on the side of the HLs on Amazon along with a Baofeng radio: a.co/d/iq06zru

Well, I got those two items you showed to work. I lined them up and used a weighted mallet and gave it a good couple of whacks. It started going together, and I was able to push them together. I also added that Walker walkie talkie attachment from Amazon, so now I have comms with my Walkers 😊

One thing I ran into is that sometimes the balls on the ends of the wires will make the plastic pieces that attach to the ear cups too large after you pull the wires out. If this happens, a short session with a heat gun will relax the plastic so that the ear cups won't fall off the wires.

Awesome video and very informative! Just a quick note, the MLOK adapters are actually supposed to go in the lower center opening of the rail. To do this you'll need to gain access to the back of the rails by unscrewing the three Philip head screws. Once you've done that, you'll be able to slide the T nut through the back of the rail and insert it through that middle opening. After that you can screw the rail back on and proceed with installing the rest of the items. The adapters and mounts are susceptible to sliding/slipping off the top larger opening so to avoid that we advise to install the adapters in the lower opening.

I have both parts you show here, the adaptor you bolt to the HHV M-Lok rail, and the part from Amazon that goes to the headlhones. I guess I am not strong enough to slide those plastic parts together, I have even filed down the one a little bit that mounts to the helmet, then used a hammer to whack rhe peiecs to mate, no luck. I think I am going to go back to the HHV ear-pro one, at least I got it to work.

Look at my comment in this video. You likely could not get the ARCs to slide into the adapter from Comms Gear because you tightened the screw and t-nut on the adapter too much. That makes a tiny bend in the slot of the adapter and makes it impossible to slide the ARC in.

Try applying a heat gun at the top of the plastic clip that the ARC wire slides into. Slide the wire in all the way and apply a bit of heat to the top of the plastic.

This worked, thanks!! Wish I never bought the HHV helmet. Basket sucks so I bought a team wendy cam fit. Team wendy was still cheaper than HHV micro lattice crap. HHV has been the biggest pain in the ass due to the m-lok rails so everything needs an adapter and stick out to far. The shroud is junk also, had to replace because my Wilcox G24 was so loose it rattled. Basically had to replace everything except the shell and even that crap is made in China and probably won't stop a 22lr. If you're thinking about a HHV helmet just don't do it.

@UChgryHeUHUF2B_Q_3D0giBg yea. There’s also American made helmets from American companies that don’t mislead their customers. This company uses a catchy name and appeals to veterans that don’t know any better and just assume this is a American based company with American products, which is not accurate.
