Thank you! I’m trying to make my first blender character, she has a costume and mask on at all times so I’m trying to figure out if I should just sculpt her face with the mask or if I want to give myself the option to take the mask off at some point

So in my opinion you want to create her face without the mask. That way you can extract the face topology to create the mask. And if you want after your can erase the “faces” that aren’t gonna be seen with the mask on. Alternatively just keep the face because you never know if you want to take it off in the future or create another character with the same model.
