Yes, I too, needed this tutorial. I’ve had a lot education about this, and you have explained the problems, clearing up how to buy and sharing exactly how to place the snaps, that was confusing before. Could you share your pretty pattern make?

Forgot to add, the gingham dress is adorable, nice work. Riley Blake had a video "Gingham Style" of a young boy in a gingham suit, so cute, might want to take a look if you have a moment!

This looks so much easier and cleaner than sewn on buttons. I've got to try this on my next project.

Thank you so much; and to think that I bought a tool to install them. I could have saved that money.
@dianemacelree46575 жыл бұрын
The tool available now looks like a pair of pliers. It is available wherever they sell snaps. It makes the installation a “snap”.

When I was and high school we had a tool that look like a paper hole . But was for snap and it was so easy. It fit all size snap. I don’t remember what it was call but it was a great tool to have for making baby pj . Your way look more complicated.

I have heavy duty security pants with many pockets. 2 of the pockets have Velcro fastening. Gets stuck when I move around in security golf cart and would like to take them off and put 2 snaps on each pocket where Velcro is. How can I do that. I used to have a snap kit for jeans but lost part of it. Please help.

Could you make a video using the snap kit from the body suit/top video? I bought one from you link and should get it next week.

I bought the prym vario plus. You can only use prym buttons with the prym pliers.

What snaps size (I've seen 17 and 24 mm sizes) and brand do you recommend that I use to replace the Velcro fasteners on the flaps that cover/close the side pockets of my cargo pants. I really like "Wrangler Men's Relaxed Fit Stretch Cargo Pants" - they fit well and have a Cell Phone Pocket that I really like, but the pants have Velcro pocket fasteners which I dislike and want to replace with some sort of metal snap. Can you help me?
@InsidetheHem3 жыл бұрын
On amazon, look for some made by Dritz. Size is up to you and also depends on the pocket size. Assuming these are men’s pants and larger pockets, 24mm should work.

They also have heavy duty snaps which you might need to get through the layers of thicker fabric.

Saves a lot of unnecessary sewing. Plus, snaps look tidier than buttons and less ugly. Especially ugly are those small plastic buttons found on shirts.
