A very simple video but one of the most impressive videos I have seen on frogs spawning. The amount of amphibians in that pond is amazing. I can only dream of my pond having that many.

Wonderful video. We sadly don't get to see many frogs in the urban area I live. The amount of love and care you put into this habitat is apparent. Thank you for sharing your expertise! 🐸

Thank you so much for all the information. I can now make changes to my pond later in the year by following your advice. Great to see all the breeding frogs and spawn. It didn't take long to be taken over by so many amphibians. A brilliant video as usual.

Tracey suggested I come to ask this question. I built a wildlife pond my garden this time last year. A week ago I was delighted to find a ball of what I imagine is frog spawn had arrived in it. But this spawn is sunk to the bottom of a shallower part of the pond and is dome shaped. I am used to seeing spawn floating on the top of the water and with large white, translucent balls of jelly. This spawn seems to be a single mass with many hundreds of black commas in it - I assume tadpoles to be. Any comment would be very helpful thanks. Delighted to find your channel by the way and just subbed for more videos. :-)

Hi firstly thanks so much for subscribing to our channel and let Tracey know I’m grateful too for her recommending you to me. I wouldn’t be worried about the spawn sometimes it floats sometimes it don’t. Check the black dots on the spawn to see if they are changing shape this is normally an indication that the tadpoles are developing nicely 🐸💚🐸
