Wouldn't it be fair to say if you Netflix, Prime, Disney etc is good then IPTV should be as good? In most cases if we are honest - most times it's the IPTV service is the culprit.

I have had 400mbps plan. firestick only buffered, went to nvidia (worth the investment). buffering reduced a lot but happened still. switched my modem, from provider (who throttles speed) to netgear. after installation my nvidia mbps download is near 400mbps and buffering is a nonissue. they main key is your modem for reducing buffering.... if you have to keep maintaining cache, memory... throw out your firestick and upgrade

I totally agree ..I bought a used Shield for around £110 ..used but in excellent condition. It's an amazing piece of kit - honestly if you plan on using IPTV to replace your cable, the extra cost is SO worth it. Buffering has been a thing of the past. As long as you use a solid IPTV of course

You hit the nail on the head your ISP can throttle your internet but if you use your own modem they can't. It is possible to connect a firestick to ethernet using a ugreen usb hub with ethernet port. The higher the video quality the faster internet speed required so you have less chance of buffering with a standard stream than 4k streams. A thing not often thought about is the number of devices connected to your WiFi and using the same channel in your area. Also a VPN will slow down your internet speed so pick a local server not one far away as this will be slower still.

Could be the streams the service gets. As a tip I reset my modem and device prior to any events to make sure it's not on my end :)

It's tough to compare streaming services as some require more bandwidth then others. This video is more to check off everything on your end. If it all checks out could be on the other end :)

Sometimes your isp can claim 240 but your actual speed could differ try running speed test on your firestick and see if that's correct then yes most likely it is your provider

Hey Ed, I have Km8 pro android TV box, 2GB ram 16GB storage android 6 without any firmware updates and no USB 3.0, I have stable 75 Mbps download speed. Do you think the problem is with my old android Box? Do you think The H96 Max will really improve my IPTV service and buffer?

Hello could be a couple things but at 75mb you shouldn't have much buffering unless the issue is on the IPTV side of things I personally think the h96 max is better then the km8

Good information but I hate it when people don’t say who their isp provider is and what kind of internet package they pay for. All isp are not equal. I had Xfinity up to 300 mbps and got buffering more than I could deal with. Decided to switch to Comcast Business internet and it has been the difference between night and day. Hardly any buffering. Speeds stay consistent and no data caps which helps with throttling if I was getting close to my limit. Yes it is a bit more expensive but still cost less than using the isp’s tv service. If you decide to go the business route review you isp’s SLA (service level agreement) so you know what kind of service you will be getting. Residential internet tends to be “Our Best Effort Agrerment’ of internet service. Business level seems to have more stringent guidelines to what the isp must provide you under their contract. Go business if you can!

It's Mbit/s. Please stop mixing up Mbit/s with MB/s. 25 Mbit/s is about 3 MB/s. Internet providers only describe their service with Mbit/s. So better to describe Internet speed with Mbit/s as that is what Internet providers sell. People can get confused if you use the terminology MB/s.

All said and done when it comes to tv boxes the one thing that makes them start buffering 2 -3 months down the line is due to over heating... tv boxes will usually be on for atleast 10hrs a day (converting HD streams live streams etc). And this makes the processor produce a lot of heat . This heat is supposed to be disapetated by the heat sink system, an aluminium plate on top of the processor . In between the heat sink and the processor lays the thermal glue ( a gum like paste that acts as the contact between the two) in chiness boxes this paste is made from a cheap material and burns out very fast( becomes hard) and doesn't remove the heat fast enuf from the processor. When the processor heat builds up it start throttling or reducing it performance to reduce the heat inorder to avoid damage by high temperatures. the reduction in performance cause the buffering. Now ppl get it wrong by looking at the temperature of the processor by apps or torching. What you don,t know is the processor has reduced its performance to much that temperature so although it is not hot the processor is operating at a fraction of its capacity Word of advice check/ renew the thermal paste /glue once a month to aid in temperature reduction

I downloaded a cleaner that I can go into and it cleans all cache and unwanted stuff almost daily just to make sure it is clean. Clean Master is really good one for Firestick. It only takes about 10 seconds a day and it cleans well.
