5 years off and 99.9% back to normal, kratom gave me a massive setback right back into severe akathisia and then back onto a benzo. The akathisia did go away but now I'm stuck tapering a benzo again. This is what I call an extreme setback.

I’m 41 months off Klonopin after 23 years on. I had a setback 8 months ago from an infection that led to an allergic reaction to amoxicillin and then a traumatic tooth extraction bc I couldn’t take anything to help. It was like I started all over with withdrawal. 8 months from this and I am now dealing with chronic dizziness, weakness, ringing in my ear, and extreme light sensitivity. I’m starting homecare again and my life is at a standstill. I will get back to helping this cause when I’m able, but this sucks!

Jordan Peterson had to go to Eastern Europe to get off scripts since the Western Doctors kept trying to add more drugs. Him and his daughter are on strict diets now. Our food and lifestyle are killing us. Anyone else notice the similarities between vaxx injuries, food sensitivities and withdrawals? With so many on scripts, it looks like a clean diet is the way to go.

Dude, I was so freaked out in withdrawal the first six months after cold turkey I went to the dentist and had all of my metal fillings removed. I think I had eight or nine of them and then I had four root canals done. I did the carpet like everybody suggested but that shit made my face swell up and it really bad and then I would have anxiety for a few days so I just got to where I didn’t take anything I did do OK one time when he mix the norepinephrine or whatever it is, it was all the same except I didn’t have as bad anxiety whenever I didn’t have any general anesthesia to numb anything. I had to go back to the dentist like eight times last year and the year before he probably more than that it was a lot of times. Yep definitely don’t rush, antibiotics for UTI is there is natural ship for that. I didn’t take any of the antibiotics that my dentist wanted me to take for my teeth, my own stuff that does the same purpose I agree you definitely got to be your own doctor and have your own little apothecary. My setbacks have been Covid. Dealing with someone that is fucking evil and car crash or I got a concussion. I should’ve died from that in November but hey, I’m still alive I guess and a few supplements definitely amino acids. Thanks for the video Angie it’s always beautiful to see your beautiful, shiny face with smiles.

Sounds like me I had major stress from close partner and then I drank and ate high histamine fermented products and I started having problems sleeping, intrusive thoughts and sensitivity to sound and had dp/dr yet 4 months before I felt 20:01 great. When I suffered from the set back I felt like I had been on the Valium for a few months and it wasn’t working omg I had my house up for sale too and I had to take it off the market. I then felt suicidal never felt that when on Valium or ct off of it. Instead of asking for advice on the groups I couldn’t ask Angie or Chris or Dan as nobody had talked about them to me I panicked as my sleep had been great again and not sleeping and the anxiety and being depressed after 2 years of living again I went to my doctor forgetting time was the only healer and got given mirtazapine the worst thing i wish I had just stayed away from doctors, friend and chemist I now have akasthia! 8 months and no Windows! Will I heal from this I’m very very scared.

I also healed from severe withdrawal. I can barely stay in the groups because I am so TIRED of people who are still sick, arguing with me about taking supplements and vitamins. vitamins, and supplements will NOT even take the edge off if you have serious withdrawal and if it IS taking the edge off it means that it is doing something that you dont want it to. it is NOT worth taking supplements and vitamins unless you have a severe and tested deficiency and even then your nervous system is not going to give you a break if you take that vitamin to fix the deficiency. if that vitamin his the nervous system wrong it will cause a set back full stop. It is a arm reduction approach to NOT take vitamins and supplements unless you have some serious condition that requires it. But i have no patience for people who take multivitamins to "find a cure", because I have just been dealing with these conversations for so many years now. Great video, I wish people would listen.

THIS IS, OF COURSE, WHY THEY NEVER PROVIDED INFORMED CONSENT! I will never recover from that. The suffering physically and mentally from the brain damage is one thing, but is survivable! It's the DECEPTION, subterfuge and trickery that I will never recover from! The Suffering they have caused so many millions of unknowing, vulnerable, patients! Hi Angie. I’m curious if you know how Hormone replacement interacts with drug withdrawal. I’m trying to taper an antipsychotic while I’m being treated for a thyroid disorder and menopause. So I’m on thyroid hormone and estrogen and progesterone.. I’m not sure I can stop either one without serious health consequences. Any thoughts?

Don’t be hard on yourself for setbacks. It’s normal. We’re all prone to over analyze ourselves. Listen to your body and have faith. Your brain may be short circuited but gut instinct is working. Right now that’s the brain that’s helping me survive. We are designed to survive. That’s why my brain needs to be ignored and my gut instinct is in charge

Hi, so useful video. I am 7 months off benzos now, very less short windows for me, that too not clear. I am very sensitive to stress, smells and other things. Can fatty capric alcohol ( from coconut oil) in my hair shampoo exaggerate the symptoms? I felt increased brain fog, confusion after using it. Can this shampoo be the cause?

I was 3 SSRI drugs for 7 years. I went off all of them at the same time 5 months ago. I found a supplement that helped me function through my normal life. Sometimes I tried a different supplement but always went back to the same one. Ive been taking this supplement consistently now for about 3 months. Would it be ok to keep taking the one supplement but then just not take anything else.

Question! Those rare setbacks you talked about at the end where people are thrown back into acute, how is the trajectory of those from there? Is the recovery from scratch then again or is it faster?

I’m 8 years off after being on 40 different psych drugs in a 13 year period. Went through benzo withdrawal several times during those years and put on all kinds of things. So! That meant I was severely kindled and was cold turkey AGAIN off the last drug I took. So… it took me 6 1/2 years to feel even slightly normal again. I went through HELL but am better now than I’ve ever been in my whole life. It was worth fighting for. I am also a more severe case so please stay in your own experience and try not to compare to me.

Can you suggest that I can get dependant on vitamin D and has to take it for the rest of my life just so that I can take the age of my symptoms. I’m not sure what you mean about being dependent on Vitamin D. When you feel better and heal more it’s possible your D levels will improve once you’re able to be outside in the sun more consistently. I couldn’t really take things consistently at that time off either.

You mentioned botox should be avoided. I get botox every 3 months for migraines and it helps. I'm in the process of tapering. Now I'm afraid to continue the botox as I continue my taper. What do you advise Angie?
@AngiePeacockMSW5 ай бұрын
That’s your own personal choice. Read the pamphlet for Botox and talk with your doctors and pharmacists about it. I don’t give medical advice. Some react to it some don’t. Some have to take things while others avoid things. It’s a personal decision you should make after knowing about the drug you need and speaking with people who are knowledgeable in that particular treatment.

Angie, what about people who already had severe mental illnesses prior to medication use that make their withdrawal experience much worse but want to try new treatments in hope of relief, would that be too dangerous? I don’t think i can handle both for a long time…
@AngiePeacockMSW5 ай бұрын
I don't think it's either / or. It can be both / and. Harm Reduction might be a better option WHILE seeking other treatment options that are less harmful. SLOW taper to a lower dose while building a new understanding of your distress and what brought you to meds in the first place. Consider this: willhall.net/comingoffmeds/ P.S. There are lots of people with SMI diagnoses that come off or come lower and are living wonderful lives! (I am one of them)

I’m 5 days out from a set back, I was about 85% healed and back to living life. I took macrobid for 4 days (8 pills) and was completely fine until i introduced an omega 3 supplement for the first time and crap hit the fan. I want to think it was the fish oil as I was doing fine on the antibiotics. Is it possible this could be short lived and not take years out? I’m freaking out and desperate for reassurance. I’ve read fish oil can be activating for some. Will I still heal from this? I’m sobbing all day long because I’m so scared I have to start over from the beginning. I’m praying it takes a few weeks to calm down but the uncertainty is killing me. I would also like to say, I had a uti and the culture came back for E. coli so I feel like this was maybe necessary. I regret taking it though
