I am looking to pursue a master's degree in Germany. What challenges might I encounter upon arrival, and what preparations should I make?
@chandra-sen6 ай бұрын
Best of luck! That’s a great bold move. My main suggestion for you is to make sure that you come to Germany with open mind. As soon as you do this then everything becomes easier. You will face challenges when it comes to language (if you have not yet learnt German), you will face challenges to find an apartment, to find your first job etc. etc. Just take those challenges as opportunities and learn from them. As I do not know more information about your arrival I can just give you high level suggestions like I shared above. Enjoy your time here in Germany and after few years of living in Germany you will thank yourself for taking this decision to come to Germany.

Hey Chandrasen I hope you're doing well. I wanted to thank you for the valuable content you share on KZbin-it's been incredibly helpful for me. I'm at a crossroads and could use your insight. I've been considering pursuing a master's degree in Germany, but I'm torn. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2022 and now work as a senior QA engineer, earning 14 LPA annually. While I'm grateful for my job's stability, studying abroad appeals to me for personal and professional growth. Should I stick with my job or pursue my academic aspirations in Germany? Your advice would mean a lot to me. Thank you for your time.

I am glad to hear that you find my content valuable and it's been incredibly helpful for you. If studying and then working abroad appeals to you then I would suggest you pursue your dream. One of the best decisions I took until today is to leave my home country to pursue my higher education and then work and live here for the long term. Doing this really broadened my perspective, learned a lot of life lessons, it challenged my beliefs and all in all made me a better person. I have seen this happening to many immigrants who decided to move abroad. The whole idea behind me starting my KZbin channel is to share this genuine experience and motivate more and more people to make this decision to move abroad because this makes them kinder, more broad-minded, and more thankful. So, to answer your question. It's an absolute yes. I would recommend you pursue your academic aspirations in Germany. -------------------------- As soon as someone reads this message they usually attack me and say that India is great, there is a lot of growth happening, no one should leave India, they should stay in India and I am a bad person, etc. etc. I am an Indian and I love my country no matter what. I am very happy with the progress we are making and I am very optimistic about our future. I believe that moving abroad would transform the lives of people. Whether it's Indians coming to Germany or Germans going to India. In my opinion, both of them should happen in the long run to live in a world filled with kind people which I dream of living in.

Hi bro, I'm coming to Germany for masters in tu berlin this October, what are the suggestions you would give for me!
@chandra-sen6 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment and congratulations on taking this brave step to come to Germany to do your masters at TU Berlin. I have heard that TU Berlin is a great university. My suggestion would be just be prepared to face new challenges that you would face for sure. Maybe it is related to finding apartment, it can be related to language, finding you part time job etc etc. When you are prepared then you handle it differently and won’t give up too easily. That’s all I can say. All the very best for your journey which will grow you into a person who is more open minded, kinder and more grounded.

Are there enough jobs for non it professionls
@chandra-sen6 ай бұрын
There are lot of non IT jobs in Germany. As you can see here: de.statista.com/statistik/daten/studie/2903/umfrage/jahresdurchschnittswerte-des-bestands-an-offenen-arbeitsstellen/ there are 700k+ job openings in Germany in April 2024. Among them only about 15-20% is IT jobs and rest is non IT jobs. But the thing that you need to keep in mind is that in order to get non IT job you need to know very good German at least B2-C1 level.
