I purchased this same switch, (green light and all) to activate the BMS on my home-built LiFePo battery pack. I saw the schematic on the switch and had a pretty good idea of how to wire it but watching you do a similar installation confirmed I was doing it correctly! Many thanks!!

On high quality crimp terminals you’re suppose to do 2 crimps. The first crimp is exactly how you did it. Then you use the other position (Ins) to crimp the insulation. It’s suppose to add some mechanical strength. Most of the cheap terminals only need the crimp exactly like you did it. Nice job!

Not that it matters but thought you'd like to know. That little pawn on the gear you refer to is actually a 'Pawl' I've watched since your car days. Nobody can say you shy away from a challenge.

Hi Franny. Jørgen from Denmark agin. You should not use those blue and red conditions. Get som good ones. These ceps ones vil get you in trouble later on. I did some sailing years back, so I know. And I know you did have knowledge of good ones and heatsink too. Youse that. Or soldering and grease. Now you are in salty surroundings. Just a tip.

Heya! What did you use to make the hole in the plastic cover to fit the switch into? I am about to do this install on my Helia 44 and am nervous about damaging/screwing up the plastic cover when making the hole for the switch… and your Channel Rocks!

I think I used a dremel and started small. Keep going and fitting, because it isn't a perfect square. Also, use the gasket as a template. Just take your time and check it a lot as you go. Also. We have a good video coming up on Volvo D2-60 engine elbows if you have Volvo engines.

​@@TheJulianAcosta Oh, I've been watching the videos of your boat! I need to do the sail drives when we haul out at Fort Pierce on the 15th. I sent a message to Mads... Where did you source your seals? I might get them from Sun power Diesel out of Lauderdale but I'm always looking for a good place for parts :) Upcoming is elbows and turbos. The elbows were a complete disaster! Like 85% clogged. The new parts came from HDI out of Vancouver WA. They make SS castings. Perfect fit. They make them for turbo and non turbo. It would be great to connect through Whatsapp. Maybe Eva can connect us :)

It actually comes with the windlass, or contact Quick if you have a Quick windlass. I would contact the company that builds your windlass, because some of them are already built in. Ours just wasn't.
