Thanks. I wish I had seen this video last week because my hosting somehow lost everything, including coding and plugins. After saving the site, I played around with it and deliberately deleted my plugins, theme, and even the updraft plugin to see how it worked. I had to first re-install the updraft plugin, then hit the restore button. And like magic, my site was all fully restored.

My problem was, though, after I saved my file and exported, all in one, won't accept import. furthermore, another website popped on my screen, i paid $69 for the site...it won't take care of the needs, either. When I contacted the company, the individual was on the site, asking me the screenshot; by then my screen disappeared.

Thanks for creating this tutorial! A really important clarification is needed to save your viewers potential loss of work they've done to their website. At about 3:29 in this video, you talk about restoring files. You said, "What if you goofed up and deleted your home page." Then you show how to recover it by going to an older copy of your backups and clicking restore. You selected everything available in your backup file. Would that then restore EVERYTHING in your website to it's state at the time of that old backup? In other words, if you added or deleted plugins or added, deleted or changed the content of your site's blog posts or pages - those would ALL be reverted back to the date of the backup you just restored. If you did significant changes to your website since the date of the old backup - those changes would all be lost and have to be recreated. Is my theory correct?

Well, that depends on the size of your website. You can try to download one copy of your site and see what the file size is before you set up the auto backups. If it file is something small, then you can just start downloading them periodically. If the size is pretty big, then you could think about getting a bigger storage space. Have you looked into creating a second google drive with an email that is specific to your business? Like creating a business Gmail. That way you can have your back ups go to that drive instead of your full drive. Be sure to play around with the auto delete settings in the backups plugin on your site. Instead of daily backups, maybe you only do weekly backups and set it to delete each file as it uploads another one.
