Great job. LOVE the stand mixer. I seriously can't believe you got one. They are THE BEST. Anyhoo... the cake is probably dry because of 2 reasons... 1) you overmixed it and 2) you overbaked it. OH WELL! Ya live and learn! Now that you've got a new stand mixer... maybe try a cake from scratch, with NO BOX MIX!?!?!? I've got a bazillion recipes on my bloggy blog if you need one! JUSTINE the wire whisk attachment is for incorporating air (meringues, marshmallows, etc.) The paddle attachment is for mixing (cakes, cookies, etc.) The dough hook is for breads and other doughs. In this case, using the paddle was correct! :)))) Love the color!

Hi Justine Me and my 10yr old daughter just adore your videos, you always have us in fits of laughter here in England, here is what we think you should try next, jam tarts maybe more comical if you make your own pastry? Instead of ready rolled, or a lemon cake with homemade lemon curd, I have a fab recipe if you want to try. Keep up the great work.

I am 11 and I love baking tip: when you are mixing a cake don't make it smooth and mix it to long I leave a couple of those little balls and it turns out moist even if the cake box doesn't say mosit

if u put one full pack of vanilla pudding mix in with the cake mix ur cake will come out incredibly moist u dont need to make the pudding or anything just put the powder in with the mix
