How to balance a Gh5 + Sigma 18-35mm on the Weebill S | It CAN BE DONE, but is it worth it??

Have you ever tried balancing on the speedbooster? Thats what allowed me to do it without a cage and I just had to add a weight on the back. You get to still keep the camera in the right orientation as well

Yup, speedbooster is on, with the sigma 18-35. Again, I was able to balance it, but the problem was I didn’t have the full range of motion of the gimbal. The cradle would always hit the camera, because the only way to balance it was to push the camera too far back into the cradle.

@@VariedTreasure No I ment using the 1/4" thread on the speedbooster rather than the body of the camera. Thats what I used and although I need a little tiny more weight in the back it made a huge difference, was just wondering if you tried that as it isn't as obvious

Dude... wtf. When I had my 18-35mm, I was able to balance it just fine. Buy those counter weights from smallrigs and add it on the top left near the power button and that's it. It was also with the hood and follow focus on

Don’t know what to tell you, dude. I did my best to explain it all in the video; I know I could’ve bought those smallrig counter weights, but I’m just trying not to spend extra money to make this gimbal work. After spending that much money on a gimbal, I don’t want to spend too much extra money just to get it to balance. Once I decided that, I just did what I could with what I had to make it balance, knowing I was gonna send it back. In the end, I didn’t think the gimbal was practical for my current and future uses.

I agree with Jeric...I was surprised why it needs a rig to balance it while it can be balance without the Rig... Its just another cost buying the Rig...

Big respect on making this video bro... But this is misleading your viewers and followers... Your buying rig and puting the camera upside down on the gimbal is a shit advice... Theres an easy way,but you made it more complicated... The result of your "solution" gave you a downside... First, you bought a rig which you will not need...so it cost you more money.. Second, you can not use the flipscreen freely and can not open the usb port..🙈 But as I told you, big respect on your videos..👍👍👍
