In this video I describe how to tap into an existing outlet to run a new circuit to a switch for some ceiling lights. In the video I touch on some basic safety precautions when doing electrical work and describe the proper way to hook up wiring to an outlet and a light switch.

The KZbin algorithm never fails. I just bought a new build and in the entryway, there's an area for a mudroom. The entryway light doesn't provide enough light for the mudroom area and thought, "is there a way to add another light using the existing outlets nearby?". Perfect explanation and I'll be saving some $ on hiring an electrician. TY!
