Learn how to bathe your horse using Absorbine's line of bathing products!
You will need:
1 Small Synthetic Harness Sponge
1 Large Synthetic Body Sponge
1 Supra Soft Touch Sweat Scraper
1 Fortiflex Personal Pail
Absorbine ShowSheen 2 in 1 Shampoo
Absorbine ShowClean
Absorbine Santa Fe Conditioner
Step 1:
Using a hose, wet your horses coat all over. Ensure the temperature is not too hot or too cold, and that the pressure is gentle. Take care to not spray your horse directly in their face.
Step 2:
Add some Absorbine ShowSheen 2 in 1 Shampoo to a Fortiflex Personal Pail, then fill with water. Water should be the same temperature that you used to wet your horse. Enough Shampoo should be used to create a good amount of bubbles, but not too much that it will be difficult to rinse out. Dip the Large Synthetic Body Sponge into your soapy water and lather all over.
Step 4:
Rinse your horse until the water runs clear.
Step 5:
Add some Absorbine ShowClean to a Fortiflex Personal Pail, then fill with water. Water should be the same temperature that you used to wet your horse. Enough ShowClean should be used to create a good amount of bubbles, but not too much that it will be difficult to rinse out. Dip the Small Synthetic Harness Sponge into your soapy water and lather on your horse's white markings for a brilliant white clean. Let soak for about 5 minutes.
Step 6:
While your horse's white markings are soaking in the ShowClean lather, wash your horse's tail. Pick up your bucket of water and ShowSheen 2 in 1 Shampoo and dip your horse's tail into it right up to their dock. Swish their tail around in the water before removing it. Remove their tail from the bucket, then lather with your fingers. Dip the Large Synthetic Body Sponge in the soapy water and apply it to your horse's dock to ensure the entire tail is clean. Lather with your fingers once again.
Step 7: Rinse your horse's tail, as well as their white markings.
Step 8: Use the Supra Soft Touch Sweat Scraper to remove any excess water from your horse's coat.
Step 9: Condition your horse's coat and shield it from the sun with Absorbine's Sante Fe Conditioner. Spray onto a hard brush, then apply to your horse's coat. Spray the tail directly, then brush it out.
Step 10:
Graze your horse until they are dry. Once dry, you can return them to their stall or turn them out.
