Nope, you are not restricted to which color you can play in your deck so long it makes sense - Leon

If you mean cost “reduction”, cards with cost reductions listed at the top left of the card next to its cost will have their original required cost to play be reduced by the number of corresponding symbols you have on the field. For instance. I have a 4 cost spirit with 1 purple reduction. If i have a purple symbol from spirit/nexus already on the field, instead of paying 4 cores, i need only pay 3 to play it because the cost reduction is fulfilled by my purple symbol from my already played spirit/nexus. - Cap
