My guy this is the kind of video i've been lookin for for ages. Im a master sim that always floats between 1450-1550 mr and have been looking for someone to properly breakdown their decision making in matches, not just "see what your opponent is doing and make a read". Really really good content as ever.

found your vid breezy and was a breath of fresh air, went up to 1730 MR in season 1 and had a surgery that made me abandon the game for like 3 months, when I came back I regained all of those bad habits and struggled hard to go past 1600 mr to the lack of daily practice so your vid did trigger some magic on me about the things that are important, it's all about consistency, thanks for the wisdom on this vid.

Rewatch it again after ss1 ended still a very good vid to watch to remind myself. (I've been floating around 1700 - 1700++.)

damn this is a really well-edited video. your use of outside, non-FGC sources is really cool (but i'm biased b/c i also play chess haha) this is also exactly what i needed to hear after last night, i tilted into oblivion. im a plat5 sim that feels like im NEVER gonna make it to diamond *because* i'm so aware of how trash i am, how many bad habits i have, etc. i can barely do combos in the lab, how the hell am i supposed to pull them off in a hot match? we're gonna figure this out the hard way by playing and practicing i guess :) if i can go one set today without throwing a raw 2HK slide praying for a knockdown, i know i'm gonna make it :P

There really is so many small situations we let our reflexes handle instead of actively storing the interaction in our memory. This video was really amazing, never thought a breakdown on dhalsim interactions could teach me so much about Marisa. Fighting games are sick

I watched this when i was struggling at just 1550MR, after following this and trying to observe the opponents and learn how they play, I'm already at 1700MR, I'll let you know once I get to 1800 thanks! really great vid!

This guide is one of the best I’ve seen! I’m also a sim main currently floating between 1350-1500. I recognize a lot of bad habits and loopholes in my gameplay. I’ll start making a conscious effort to apply these principles. My goal is to hit 1600-1700MR by Jan.

What an awesome class! Thank you very much! I've just improved too quickly from gold to platinum on a 11 win streak with Dhalsim, but I'm afraid to be obliterated in plat (like I normally am with Manon). I will try the new strategies learned in this so I can get better chances with Dhalsim, specially with the responses I didn't know existed to some habits. Also, I must improve my pressure with him... I normally only pressure with teleport and I'm sure this is not going to be enough pretty soon because I play a mostly zoning + reaction style. Btw, I really appreciate the humbleness of showing the match against Punk. That earned me a lot of respect and trust in what you are saying. =)

yo this is a fantastic video, ive been struggling to push past diamond 3 as sim and i feel like im at a point where i really have to address all my weaknesses. this helps and i love the examples too. btw, i was watching a mister crimson replay and i saw a genius tech - after d hk or db hk, if you do an immediate forward float and they dp on wakeup, theres an awkward side switch and you can get a full punish!

Dude you're the reason I even started playing Dhalsim in the first place. And it's not easy because he is a difficult character to learn. But I finally made it to Diamond 1 rank. The problem is since then I have been stuck there for months. I just didn't understand what I was doing wrong. And it's not like the players were super good. I just couldn't win anymore. But this video helps a lot.

This is an excellent video! I'm watching this to learn, reinforce what I already know, and feel better about my grind since I'm still working my way through Diamond. It's nice to know that where I'm currently at is even less punishing than this. If I can continue to incorporate these lessons into my gameplan and mindset, it's just a matter of time before I hit Master. I also agree that among skilled players, the best are those who recognize and drop bad habits, and make fewer mistakes-not necessarily the ones who always use the optimal combo.

would love to work on these tips but sadly i'm from low player region. As in matches are hard to appear. you'll match with more diamonds/low MR masters than high MR. most probably you are blocked by those high MR ones to avoid them losing points. it sucks, so I just learn different character now and try to reach them to masters. wish the matchmaking improves

As someone struggling with seeing the invisible bar how do deal with not noticing you getting better when you actively see yourself not getting better? I'm doing the drills, studying the matches, i know where im messing up but even after long sessions, multiple opponents, different ways of engaging with the game (hyper thinking, relaxed thinking, instincts only) in still falling for the same stuff as day 1 and my losses look the same? A big thing people say is "just play more" and for me playing more im just gaining more bad habits
Would you do a modern Dhalsim tutorial/strat video? Asking for a friend...
