Once, after I was stuck on a door for two dozen or more people, a nice guy on his way out took over for me so I could finally go in.

Well... Technicaly, poutine is from quebec, and the actual pronounciation is more like pouTIN then pouTEEN. Calling it pouTEEN is like if in french we called hot-dogs hot-doges, so it sound more french. Wouldn't be wrong per say, but nor would it be the "good" pronounciation.
