Florists On Farms

Күн бұрын

This one started out as a look at December and sharing methods I use to survive Christmas wreath season as a florist farmer. But really, its bigger than that because my approach to Christmas sales echoes my overall approach to this type of floristry. How does one fulfill two equally demanding roles? Can I shape my business to work for me and for my customers? I hope you enjoy this little look at my flower farm business and what inspires me!

I am surprised you don't have a bigger following yet, but I'm happy to have found ya. And certainly appreciate you letting people come to you organically instead of spamming flower groups on facebook and such as some other youtube growers insist on doing. I bet this youtube channel is going to blow up this year. How could it not, the stuff you create is absolutely unique and lovely.

Oh gosh, thank you so much, your words are so encouraging to me today! I like to share my videos when they are actually relevant, such as in comment replies where a video of mine can help to answer a question. But I have made it a habit to not post too much all over the place; and I’ve always hoped that, if other people find value in them, that they will be posting and sharing with others! The reality is that this channel has been a slow but steady growth and I still have significant milestones to reach to really make it viable long term; but I have every reason to think that we will get there. At the very least, I’m enjoying the process and ups and downs of the journey with KZbin as much as on my farm! Thanks for your support, and Happy New Year!

I really enjoyed this video, and it resonated so much. It really is a struggle to get everything done when you are THE PERSON who runs every aspect from seed sowing to harvest to social media ,sales, promotions, etc. Im just going into year 3 of flower grower/florist. Glad I found your channel ❤

Oooh yes, it can be so hard, especially when you are starting out or aren’t hiring any of it out! I love to take a look back at the end of every year and chop out the things they didn’t bring enough ROI. It really helps to look at the data and numbers to help make those decisions; but also what things I did or didn’t enjoy! We are all different people and so we will naturally gravitate towards different things, and if we listen to ourselves when making those decisions, I think it does us well! Thanks for joining me on here and enjoy your planning for the upcoming growing season!

Just found you and so happy I did - you are an inspiration because most of the people I've follow (and don't get me wrong - they're awesome) - but I am different as well. Year 3 flower grower with an incredible flower stand biz but I do floral work as well. It's wonderful, challenging and a lot of work for sure when it's only you (and a husband who helps with heavier chores lol).

Awe thanks so much! We all have to find our way, what we enjoy and what works best for our locations too! I’m excited to share from my own unique perspective here, having spent so many years in the industry with production and also retail design, so thankful for my past experiences as they have led me to here! My husband definitely helps out with the heavy lifting but I could sure use him to help with some weeding too 🤣. My kids are getting old enough now for me to hire them to do garden work, so that’ll be my future haha!

That is a worthy goal! Part of my cut flower beds are actually landscaped around my yard so that I can enjoy them too, and it’s one of the best things we’ve ever done here. I should do a video of them this upcoming growing season. Enjoy your gardens!
