I have a college degree but it was not in a medical field. I'm currently working in a BPO as a claims processor. I really wanted to be a medical coder because the pay was high and to level up my career. I also love the work from home set up it gives. I would like to ask what you could advice for me who has no medical degree and wanted to be medical coder? Some people I know whos a medical coder told me that it might be challenging for me because I dont have medical background although I already working in BPO setting and processing medical claims. I would like to have an insight how to start preparing for becoming a medical coder for someone like me who has no medical background. Thank you
