I need to be in the forest it's just where I belong. No matter what career I end up with even though ranger is my goal, long as I'm comfortable somewhat and in the forest I'm ok!!

I just graduated with a BS in earth and environmental science. I’m lost on what to do from here. I’ve worked full time throughout all of it and can’t afford to not be paid. I don’t know what to do, at all, but this was very helpful.

Hey, I know you haven't posted in awhile but I really loved this insight into the park ranger system and I know it may be hard after such a long time but I'd really love some more insight into it considering you are able and up for it. I just noticed this was your last video uploaded and hope it won't be your last. Many wishes. ❤

Topic: what to include in a cover letter for Americorps and similar organizations. I’ve never done anything like what you’ve mentioned in this video before. I live in Las Vegas and currently looking at a crew member position in Reno.

Good day. Thank you for the information. I just got out of the Navy after 17 years. I have wanted to do this job for a long time. Do you have any advice for a Vet wanting to get in this career field? I really want to do the federal side of the house.

Serious question. Do you see crazy sh*t at night? Like unexplained things. Hear noises even? If so, I am interested in becoming a Ranger (serious).

Great video! I am interested in being a park ranger or just working in the outdoor. Do you think 2yr of college is good or would they like you to have a bachelor degree and if so what program would I enter as, right now I'm entering as environmental science and I dont if it the right way to go.any suggestions?

In the parks service I think experience has more weight than education. Most people have degrees these days. Gain experience, work your butt off and show them why you're different than the other people with degrees!

Do park rangers only work in the summer? Can I be a full time worker? I would rather be a full time interpretive park ranger than an LEO. Is that even possible? I got a degree in geography, which I'm regretting cause it's almost worthless, but can you live off being a ranger like that?

Question. Are Park Rangers allowed to have tattoos? I have ink on both legs, both arms, chest and back. They’re mostly military related tattoos that I’ve gotten over time while serving. Will it be a problem?

Hi! I'm a freshman in college, but am wanting to change my major to something related to this field. I was looking into the SCA and it seems like something I would be interested in. Do you recommend that I apply to their "gap year" program after this semester just to refine what I want to do in that field, or do you think I should finish schooling and then apply for an internship?
@madisonhusmann32934 жыл бұрын
Hi! Im currently a sophomore studying Environmental Studies/Fisheries & Wildlife and I'm also looking into SCA! What I'm doing is doing a summer internship this summer and next summer to gain experience and I can still stay in school! I'm in the same boat as you so reach out if you have any questions!
@theseasonalranger37113 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response. I think it's always wise to get as much experience as you can. If you can do this while in school, even better. It shows your dedication and you'll be more likely to get a good job straight out of college.

I'd rather work out in the Pacific northwest state or county park. Or national. I want to become a ranger but you don't always need a degree right? I heard some require just courses to take a cert programs . I'm in NJ so I'm across the coast
