LOL. This video totally made my day, hilarious. Reminds me of this one customer at a bikeshop I used to work at that would weigh everything he bought. THis one time he actually weighted every single jersey we had to select the lightest one, and I don't mean different jerseys, he weighed every single size M jersey of the same model he wanted. After that, we started hiding the scale everytime he walked in. Interestingly enough, the guy never won a race, go figure.

I’ve been losing weight consistently and training correctly with all your advice! So for that, I am forever grateful to you.

Yeah, your point on body weight is so true. At some point I realized all the weight savings wasn't worth it -- considering my body type and athletic lack of prowess -- and comfort is more important than bike weight.

Awesome video & so true, if riders would work on keeping their own weight down & making their bodies stronger then they would be strong on any bike. I sometimes ride my mid 90’s steel framed 30 lb bike & have no trouble keeping up, being comfortable is more important than shaving weight

My thinking is to get a 2nd job, cut my training from 15 hours a week to 3, and build a 7.41kg carbon everything KOM crusher. Then I'll just spend my 3 hours of training doing max efforts that will hopefully bring in more Strava glory and followers. Is this the perfect plan?

Dylan, can you please make a video in the future about how to maximise our performance/potential if sy is naturally/genetically less talented than the average or if sy doesn't know how talented (s)he is but still has a serious ambition to become eg. a cat 1 or 2 racer? Is it worthy to go to an advanced sports centrum or hiring a personal trainer to find out where we are on the scale? Personally I am 23 yrs old, slightly faster than an average road cyclist, my weight is circa 200-210 lbs. My body type is probably between mesomorph and endomorph and has shorter legs, but I hardly know anything about my genes themselves. I am looking forward to race some 1,5 to 3 hour long races and TTs, but later would do more 6 to 24 or even 30 hour long races or personal challenges.
