Start paying attention to everything around you. Everything that's happening, what people are doing, saying, wearing, things that are going on, every detail. Think about what you could say in that situation. Think exactly about your impression and reaction in that moment and the thoughts that are going through your head. Then you say exactly what is in your head to whoever is right next to you. You're holding back because you're worrying too much about what other people think of you.

I found this pretty helpful as today I attended a session about the psychology of conversation and this is all getting pretty interesting to me. You know what the problem is? Sometimes i meet new people, and i try to talk and talk and talk, but they are so flat, just answer, yes, no, ok, but they don't give their opinion, they don't say anything, therefore i feel like i am boring, but it's hard to be the only one putting the effort, what can i do? What is really happening?
@Kidvicious70710 жыл бұрын
THIS. Please I am struggling with this too. Well I realized maybe just a lot of people just aren't as open as we are so it pretty much seems like a dud. I mean if you find a person that is as open to meeting new people as you are then that's great. But, some people are just aren't willing expand. :/

Rodrigo Rivas the question is how to solve his problem not yours you are ok 😊
@tinabeana44957 жыл бұрын
Rodrigo Rivas I'm probably one of those people you talk about! xD; In my case, I never really know what to say? My mind has a hard time thinking of things to say quickly, or if I have something to say, I'll be too worried about saying it wrong or have it come across wrong. Personally idk what people like you could do to make people like me come out of that. People online often assume I'm outgoing because of how much I type! For me, it's a lot easier to collect thoughts in a message at a quicker pace for some odd reason. And I can say an opinion, and know I said what I meant to say, where as in real conversations, I'm bound to not say what I meant to say? Idk But you know, I have a friend in person who can talk so much, but when it comes to typing, she's the one with short replies xD

+Roberson Lubin You don't know what to talk about with girls. You see, that's the problem! You are looking for something to talk about with women, you are not respecting yourself. You know what man! if you don't have anything to say, so be it, say nothing ! If you were with a 50 yo old man, would you really care about what to say? Would you even feel the NEED to say something? NO You HAVE to put everybody at the same level. "Alpha males", don't have this problems, WHY? Because they put everybody at the same level, they see her like they see NORMAL people, not any superior being whom they need to seduce. Seduce yourself man! That's the only person you should impress, YOU. There is no need to impress any girl, if you want to improve, do it for yourself, never for the girl, studying pick up? WTF? Study to be better, to be more self-secure, never ever ever study anything special to conquer any girl, cause that means that you don't feel that you are at the same level as them, do they study how to seduce us? They know they don't need it, you neither bro, what man need is some BALLS, that's it, and some common sense, you want to seduce? That doesn't depend on you and It's a pathetic objective, what depends on you is to improve. Improve your sense of humor, FOR YOU, improve your self steem, and self-confidence FOR YOU, learn to take care of the ones you love, FOR YOU. And apply all of that, WITH EVERYBODY, that will reinforce the fact that you are not doing it for the girl, but for you. Once you apply that with everybody, I promise you will be able to do it with the girl, but of course, self-confident means you are not needy, you treat everybody equaly If you do it with everybody, you will have an infinite amount of practice, and you it will be way way way more easy to believe that In fact, you are doing it for YOU, to be a better version of yourself, a version that treats everybody with the same self-confidence, and gives each individual what he/she deserves. Once you know this, I will tell you what to talk about. Talk about what YOU want to talk about. What really amazes you? Be genuine, What is it this thing that you can't stop talking about? Focus all that need to impress on you, and believe me, when you really like something, automaticly you will talk, but because you want, not because you "need to say something" I want to finish saying that, don't misuderstand me, everybody likes to impress, it feels good, but that doesn't mean we should tolerate it, just like we like to f*** and we don't rape women, we shouldn't try to impress ANYBODY but us. So yeah, love women, but you go first, so no tolerance for needing to impress them. I hope it helps you, greetings.

:) Yes, the spit sound is something you don't want to do if you find that behavior annoying. (I'm guessing I was smacking so much and drinking water in this video because I got so excited talking into the camera that my mouth was salivating!) I want to make it clear, however, that while physical mannerisms are important on a superficial level, much more important is (a) the substance of what you are communicating and (b) how open, receptive, and genuine you are being while communicating.

I watched a documentary about how apples stared off being too sour to eat so were only used as cider. Because of that apples were as demonized as ganja and it wasn't until one particular farmer selectively grew only the sweeter apples until we have and love all the apples we have today. I didn't fact check or anything, so I don't know who is right here. Not that it matters anyway. lol
@bailinnumberguy10 жыл бұрын
Good tips, but generally if you try to make a conversation w/ a woman in a grocery store or at an ATM or standing in line at a drug store you'll be looked at as a bit of a weirdo. Strange as it might seem, most of the time people out doing chores aren't there looking to get laid at some later point in time.
@shogogarcia10 жыл бұрын
Randy, yes, if the first thing on your mind is to try to get laid, then trying to make conversation with someone at the ATM or in a grocery store is going to come across very strange indeed. If you want to get laid, go to a bar or a club or find events where other people are also trying to get laid. The purpose of interacting with people while you're going about your day is to connect to those people. Treat people who you think you want to sleep with the same way you treat people you have no intention of sleeping with. If there's chemistry for something beyond the conversation, deal with that as it comes--not before. In a public setting, my first reaction to someone with an I-want-to-have-sex-with-you attitude is, "Why do you want to have sex with me? You don't even know me." That is what makes you come across as a weirdo. Don't cover up those feelings if those are your real intentions, but there is a time and a place for that. The grocery store is not that place.

What if there isn't anything in that moment that you can talk about with passion?
@shogogarcia10 жыл бұрын
Matt, the key is to find curiosity and enjoyment in whatever it is that you're doing in the moment, no matter what it is. The passion I talk about in the video is easy to practice when you start directing yourself toward doing more things that you find enjoyable. (The commenters who think I am suggesting they talk about apples didn't understand this message.) If you're not enjoying what you're doing, and it's not something that you have to do, go do something else. Too many times, we go through the motions hoping that sometime, somewhere, we're eventually going to find something we're passionate about. However, the only place we will ever be in life is RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW--so we may as well embrace it and enjoy it.
