The Hymn "Let all Mortal Flesh Keep Silent" changed my life. It was the second time in my life I had physically felt the Spirit move in me. It is the communion hymn every liturgy in my orthodox church. We had been visiting the church for 6-9 months at this point. Viewing closed communions and accepting holy bread later. But that day the song and the reverence of the moment of sacrament hit and I felt the energies of God vibrate through and around me. I decided that day to be an orthodox christian. We got Catecozeled that Pasca 9 months later. It has been 3 life changing years in the Church. I now know God, and see gods energies, and love God deeper. I now know my fellow christians and humans deeper.

I agree. There is no need for the music. The message speaks for itself.

I didn't want to sing either. The first time I denied myself in church and sang to God Jesus gave me a vision of Himself right then and there. He hears our singing and He knows when we lay aside our selves for Him. SING!!!!

Honestly I didn't realize the music was over powering Francis Chan ..probably because I had my ear phone plugs in and it sounded great. It was an awesome sermon so please try to listen to it again it will be worth it. . Please pray for the people involved in the false religions of the world Seventh-day Adventist, Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Etc. They are zealous and loving people but they're following a Jesus that isn't the Jesus of the Bible and when you see them on corners or when they come to your door please be bold and speak the truth to them. Understand the prophet that they're following denies the Bible. For more information on what they believe to be able to defend Jesus God In the Flesh please check out Carm which stands for Christian apologetics research Ministry. God bless

I don't believe that those actions are the things that we do *in order to* be filled with the Spirit. Rather, they are a result of *being* filled with the Spirit. They are the result of the overflow of the Holy Spirit in our life. We are filled with the Spirit when we invite His presence in us and He chooses to fill us. As we maintain our awareness of His presence with us, we can go on receiving more and more from Him. But it's not something that we make happen through those actions. That is striving, and it's practically the opposite of resting in His presence. Being filled with the Spirit is never something that we can make happen. Blessings to all who read this, in Jesus' name.

I believe it is quite circular! Jesus says, "if you love Me you will fulfill these commands"! The more we DO it the more He fills us and that makes us want to do it MORE! Blessings on you friend

Nick Harms i know this is going to sound odd, but it made me so happy to see it when you capitalize the H in He, when talking about Jesus,
@maryb.13135 жыл бұрын
Totally disagree! Isaiah 61 put on a garment of praise; praise lifts the spirit of heaviness. Proactive not reactive. Praise is a part of spiritual warfare. We do make it happen. It's not striving to speak the truth or to be in-tune with praising God because He is infinitely worthy - we cannot possibly praise God too much. Praise gets you in God's presence for *God inhabits the praise of His people*. Those who sang praise to God led the army for Israel. There were always singers and musicians at the temple. Lead with praise even if you don't want to. It's not a feeling it's an expression of truth. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable. Psa 145:3 I hope this helps. God bless you.

Sadly The modern churches salvation plan is not in the Bible. There is no just believe or ask Jesus into your heart. You also will find no sinners prayer. You will find that evidenced no where in Gods Word. A lot of us are following traditions of men and we dont even know it. Jesus said in John 3 5 that we must be born of the Water and of the Spirit or we can not enter into the Kingdom of God. In John 3 3 Jesus said without being born of the Water and of the Spirit we cant even see it. After Jesus resurrection we entered into a new covenant with Him. We are no longer under the law but under grace.It is true our salvation is not by our hand that we should boast but only by His sacrifice on the Cross and the shedding of His blood. However God did give us the command on how to receive this New Birth/Salvation. Its exactly what Jesus talked about in John Ch 3 but now is broken down by Peter who Jesus gave the Keys to the Kingdom after the ressurection on the day of Pentecost. Acts 2 38 and 41 Peter said Repent and be Baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the Remission of Sins and you shall Recieve the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Then they that gladly Received his Word were Baptized and the Same Day there were added unto them about 3,000 Souls. Water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is the Water Birth Jesus spoke of. The Infilling of the Holy Ghost is the Spirit Birth Jesus spoke of. We have to Repent and be Cleansed in full immersion Water for the Cleansing of Sin ( REMISSION as stated above). The only name ever used in New Testament Baptism was JESUS NAME. Every believer did this throughout the entire New Testament. The titles were never used. But Mathew 28 19 does not say Baptize in the titles it says in the NAME! Peter and the apostles knew the Name! After repentance, baptism in JESUS name, we must be filled with the Spirit. Every biblical account of receiving the Spirit was evidenced by Tongues. Acts 2 4 says They were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other Tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance. You will see each recorded New Birth/Salvation Experience in the New Testament in Acts Ch 2, Acts Ch 10, Acts Ch 8, Acts Ch 19 Acts Ch 9 Acts Ch 22. All following the same command. All received in the same manner. Mark 16 16 says He who believes AND is baptized shall be saved. Acts 4 12 says Neither is there Salvation in ANY OTHER NAME for there is none other Name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be Saved. Romans 8 9 says. ...But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. Romans 6 4 Therefore we are Buried with Him in Baptism unto Death that like as Christ was Raised up from the Dead by the Glory of the Father even so we should Walk in Newness of Life. 1 Peter 3 21 The like figure whereunto even Baptism doth also NOW SAVE US, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh but the answer of a good conscience toward God by the Ressurection of Jesus Christ. e

Are you saying baptism is a prerequisite of having Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?

Chris Lewis yea he is
@austinmoore37216 жыл бұрын
John 3:3 Jesus was talking about being born physically when He said ye must be born of the water and of the spirit. What happen when a woman does into labour? Her water breaks because you are in water in the mother’s womb therefore you are born of water. Read 1 peter 3:21. Btw Mark 16:16 does not teach baptism is needed for salvation. Baptism saves but only your conscience from being under guilt because of disobedience. The second half of mark 16:16 says he that believeth not is damned. Not he who believeth and is baptized not is damned.
