I think as a person in their 20s, I feel so much pressure from seeing other people go out & do all these social things. I feel like I had made that my idea of fun for a long time, even though I didn’t enjoy it. So every time I went out, I was having fun for a total of 15 mins and then I wanted to leave. Watching you live your life, not caring if people say you’re always home, enjoying minimal things and alone time, that makes me feel so much lighter bc thats all i wanna do too. And this just takes off that pressure of confining to ideas of fun that are only in my head.

Trust me you're not the only one. When I was a teenager all I did was go out and socialize and come home very late. Now in my mid 20s I NEVER leave my house or hang out with friends. I don't care about socializing and think its quite pointless. I enjoy being alone and going outside alone and breathing in the fresh air. Embrace who you are because we are all unique in our own ways and should never feel pressured to live like others.

Hey, Kennedy! I’m newly 20 and in art school. I just started it last fall and it’s changed my life, it’s given me things to do, helped me grow so much in art and life and generally finding out what I’d like to do and it’s also given me friends. Surprisingly enough, I actually have a crush right now and I haven’t had a crush since 2018, lmao. Just saying, I think it might be worth it to check out schooling for art or even acting schools. I think you’d really enjoy it! Hopefully you see this.

Not knowing what you want to do with your life (and not needing to) is an amazing privilege to have at your age. The majority of people have no choice but to "figure it out" so they can start earning income, so that they can survive... Not saying you aren't grateful, and I know you've put in work to get where you are, but I think if you had the right perspective you would mainly just be feeling blessed/lucky to be in the position you're in and to have the insane beauty, charisma, talent etc that's helped enable you to get there.

Yeah I agree, she just sounds a little ungrateful. Like some people don’t get to do what they want, they’re forced to work a full time job and don’t have the time to sit and read for 10+ hours a day, buy decorate things, and sit at home all day. Idk I just think she doesn’t really take into account what other people go through.

This video is so comforting. Thank you Kennedy for being so honest and sharing your problems with us. I am currently in a bit lost state of live, too. I am in my last year of school and got many questions from family members about what I want to do afterwards. And the only thing I know is that I don't know what I want to do. And I feel like it is so exhausting, because I have nothing to look forward to, no goal to work for. This makes it difficult to motivate me for studying - which is obviously important for the final exams. Well, this was me just wanting to compliment the video but instead rambling about my life hahahh

It is pretty natural the way you feel when you see/hear/whatever other people your age doing stuff or having plans and knowing (or apparently) exactly what to they are going to do with their future. Thing is, it does not matter. Real question is why do you feel like that to begin with? Let me explain myself: sometimes we question ourselves for what we think we are supposed to do or be doing, rather for what we actually want. And I get it, you might not even know what the hell it is that you want, but it logically comes from the interior (yourself) not the exterior (others expectations or the exactions on your life you get from comparing yourself to others). If you don't know what you want, at least be more concrete with what you don't, start from there and it might lead you forward. What you don't want is to feel guilty because you are not living somebody's else's life. The other option is that you don't like something about your life, you feel something is lacking... then implement change, but because you actually need it to feel fulfil and not because you think that is what you are supposed to do. And I won't apologise for my poor use of English (not 1 language). Hope this somehow was useful, I just wanted to get it out.
