There’s an answer to living in a broken world but it may surprise you. There’s contentment despite life’s fractures. Even happiness despite our circumstances. It’s God’s upside-down guide to a better life... a blessed life.
Tune in to our CCV Online church experience streaming from Phoenix Arizona and hear from CCV's Senior Pastor, Ashley Wooldridge, as he dives into how to pursue happiness in the way Jesus wanted. In Matthew 5:3, it says “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs in the kingdom of Heaven”. What does it mean to be “poor in spirit”? It means to accept your spiritual bankruptcy and utter dependence on Jesus’ forgiveness and grace. Do you feel like this described your relationship with God right now? The MORE we have, the LESS we may think we need God. The LESS we have, the EASIER it is to acknowledge our need for God. The biggest lie most people believe in this world today is that good people go to Heaven. Good people don’t go to heaven, forgiven people do! You cannot rely on your own self-righteousness to be made right with God. God’s been waiting for this day for a long time. When you would finally get to the place where you can tell Him, “I need you. I’m dependent on you”. It’s time to prioritize His kingdom over your own personal one.
