Love these kind of videos focusing on dance instead of steps and turns. Would love to see more. 😍

That was really good. Very few videos teach and emphasize style. I've seen a lot of salsa dancers that can do a lot of complicated turns, but they really have very little style. Simple turns with good style looks much better.

I agree. 😊 Many videos all over the Internet teach turns and moves (what do dance) but not HOW. I would argue that the how is more important than having a lot of moves. Would love to see more videos like this. 🤩

yes you right, sometimes its boring for me, just doing complicated turns always quick but poor looking never free arms for styling! that its not dancing, that is turns competition

Would be very helpful if the leader wore color coded bracelets to show hand position between intro, switch and full routines 🤙
@fignissel47502 ай бұрын
very nice and helpful. Maybe next time translate the spanish parts. I know the numbers and that's it (and I think others have the same language barrier). Sadly, KZbin could not give automated subtitles either so I could not follow her explanations (which were helpful, I'm sure of!)
@asuwish76402 ай бұрын
My interpretation...I think I understood from her demonstration. Keep your arm down by the time you turn (elbows in), have your hand ready for the lead again on 3. The inspiration for styling is already within you. 🙂

At 1:43 (basic steps w/o styling in open position) neither of you have any shoulder movement. There is only shoulder movement when you release her arm. I have watched many of your videos and there never seems to be any shoulder movement in open position. However, when I dance in open position my shoulders (not elbows) and arms are moving a lot. It seems like the natural way for my body to move to the salsa rhythm. Otherwise, I just feel stiff. Should I stop using my shoulders or is it simply my personal style? By the way, ladies do not complain and rather seem to enjoy dancing with me.

Superb ! But .. 😂.. beginning of the video : the sun glasses hum hum .. frankly this looks ridiculous. Because you could speak without. We like eyes, simply eyes, as they are. 🎉

Thanks for the great dancing tips. Just one thing, it might not be appropriate to place a Buddha statue on the floor where you stood nearby.
