I love lists! Haha it really helps me be accountable to myself and be productive! :) I do love setting reminders on my phone also. Like you mentioned we all have so many things in our brain and when something pops into our mind that we need to remember, it's so helpful to put a reminder on the phone or a note in the phone. I think writing (or typing) things down helps with productivity and accountability, and helps us stay more on top of things. :)

Chelsea's Home you are totally right! Writing or typing definitely helps the task stick in my brain!

Oh my goodness, I live by the note app and calendar on my phone. I can not imagine how I lived without those reminders popping up! This is maybe the second or third video I have watched of yours. I have to say that I am hooked. You go by what I always tell my friends to do. Break it up into bite sized pieces. Life seems less demanding if you take the time to divide tasks and chores. You can then pat yourself on the back and move on with a happy face.

Libby Reed it looks like we are on the same page! I love that I can set a reminder and then go about my day knowing it will pop up later! Thank you so much for watching!

Awesome tips! I also like to not plan in so many activities during my week so I don't have to organize as much haha. I find organizing becoming a job in itself for me :D

Curious what you do for a living? If you don't mind sharing that is! I am a medical coder and work full time from home so that throws a whole different mix in-lol!! I have two kids but they are older now- 11 and 13. But my husband/their dad passed away in an accident 20 months ago. So I'm on my own now and finding life as a single mom way harder than being married. It's a whole different ballgame. Anyway, I was just curious what you do for your job/career? Really enjoy your videos😊

I work in public relations for a local non-profit. I do a lot of day travelling to various places (schools, universities, companies) throughout the state that I live in. Working OUTSIDE of the home is incredibly hard but I can't imagine working from home either! It would be so hard for me to focus so many props to you! Either way, being a working mom is hard! Wow, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband! I'm sure your life was completely turned upside down when that happened! It's hard when you get used to having someone around to always support you in life. My husband is so helpful with my daughter and around that house that when he's gone for the evening, it throws me off! You seem like a strong person so keep going, mama! Thank you for supporting my channel!

It’s harder to have one child than more. I had one for 5.5 years before fostering\adopting so this all makes sense to me.

Such simple ideas yet so effective! I just use the notes app on my phone when I'm out but will check out the apps you mentioned. What do you do for work, if you don't mind me asking. I stayed home when my kids were little (I have 3 teenagers now!) and working from home was challenging enough. You are rocking this mom gig!!! Go Jamie!! :)

Thank you for watching! You are seriously so sweet! The hardest part about working and being a mom is that I never feel like I'm giving enough to anyone. Some days I feel like my head is spinning! But I appreciate the compliment and support! I work in public relations for a local non-profit. It tends to require a lot of day travel to various places (schools, universities, companies) throughout the state that I live in.

Girl, I think one kid is harder than having multiple to be honest. Once you have two or more you kind of know what to expect and learn to adjust. Whereas when you have your first child it's a shock and you have to learn how to do things with a child. You are doing a great job! Love your videos.

You are seriously so sweet! I always feel bad talking about how hard it is to be a parent to my ONE daughter. I always feel like the parents with multiple kids are laughing at me. Thanks for making me feel good! :)

One child is much more time consuming than a few. They look out for each other and fight a lot as well as playing together. When you have one child, they have no one to entertain them, just you 😁 I'm learning to do lists, but I forget 😣 and I realise how disorganised I really am. So I'm listening intently to your blog in the hope I can learn to like and remember to list 😉 thank you xx
@JamiesJourney7 жыл бұрын
I always wonder if when Avery (my daughter) has a sibling if it will be a little easier! lol A lot of my friends who have multiple kids say they just fight but I think it would also be nice if they were playing together sometimes! Thanks for watching!

I am a stay at home mom of three. A 9 year old, a 7 year old and a 2 year old. I really struggle doing things I used to do before kids and keeping my house tidy. Having a competitive gymnast and a competitive swimmer, a toddler and a husband that works 13 hour days makes for an extremely busy/exhausted momma. Practices, meets, games, school, taking time with the little one.... Some days I'm just too tired. I'm extremely forgetful, so I will be checking out the reminder app. Thanks for the tips!
@JamiesJourney7 жыл бұрын
Jessica Hummer it sounds like you are super busy! It's hard for me to imagine what it's going to be like when my kids get old enough and are involved in activities. Just do what you can! I hope using the reminder app helps you! It's been a huge help for me!
@ayuumi62627 жыл бұрын
Ouch, that sounds rough. Please take care of yourself. The first signs I saw when I was about to burn out was forgetfulness and tiredness. Make sure you have enough of sleep. Sometimes forgetfulness means having too much on your hands than you can handle... Please be careful with your health.

Can you give me tips about what you've decluttered of your own childhood and that of your child? I have the works of school of my kids in a binder and kept their baby toys and clothes in boxes also. Those are so sentimental for me and I have a lot of difficulties to get them out of our house. The attic is full now. The rest of the house is very tidy. It's the same for the stuff when I was little that my mother has kept for me 😢. Can you please help me? Thank you very much! Sunny greetings, Monique.

I use my Bullet Journal for all my lists, and i do not use my phone for anything, other than texting and phoning. But that's just how I work. Nice video anyway!
@JamiesJourney7 жыл бұрын
I do agree that making lists on my phone means I'm pretty reliant on it. Which is definitely a drawback but I just like the fact that I always have my phone on me! Thanks for watching!
@vegasrenie7 жыл бұрын
It’s not that you don’t care about your house being tidy when kids arrive, is that you don’t always have time to care. This is especially true when you have several kids who are older and you are involved in different activities, hobbies, etc. Having a couple of kids in soccer, ballet, music lessons, baseball, etc., means for a very exhausted set of parents! And if you’re a single parent, it’s even worse! Lists help but if there’s a bunch of kids around with stuff to do, you’re lucky to get half of lists done.

You are a rockstar to me! I have 2 kids and am a SAHM. One is a Toddler and the other is in school all day. I can't do a dang thing. I am lucky if I get to shower. My toddler has not napped in over a year and he is a destructive tornado. I try and do a few things during the day, but he demands my time. He does not like TV so I can't use the electronic babysitter. :( You motivate me, but my house is a disaster all the time. My goal is for 2018 is to get my life in order on so many fronts. I love your videos. I would love to know how you do things when your daughter is awake and up. I am drowning. I probably should not be watching KZbin videos. :)

I can relate to you! When I am home along, without my husband, I usually rely on naptime to get things done! Lucky for me, she's a good napper! But there are times where I have to make do when she's up! It sounds like a good video idea. Thank you! and good luck!
