@@poet5641 Good point, but when Samsora mashes he's doing advanced float tech and blinding fast movement in order to bait out a whiffed attack and punish it because it's hard for Peach to make openings otherwise. Esam holds his analogue stick in the direction of his opponent and mashes A because everything Pikachu does is safe

I've never heard of mashing with the attack buttons when grabbed, buried, etc. I'm pretty sure SSBU doesnt even note that in the tips menu, I've only ever know shield mashing, and stick mashing, which is why I set my D-pad to all shield.

I promise you the best way to mash is getting good at rotating the left stick as fast as possible. It's not worse once you get good at it and it ensures you never buffer a terrible option when you get released. I get out of inklings roller to smash attack up to like 120%
