Couple tips I learned while fighting him myself. When he does his Shockwave attack thing jump off your horse as it gives you I frames and you'll be able to close the distance even quicker. Once in the second phase just stay on the horse when he does his stupid roll bullshit ride up to him dodge his arm and attack his left hand once or maybe twice then go to his back and attack till he rolls again and repeat. Hope this helps. Took my wayyyy too long ngl

After what felt like 50 tries with the greatsword i just couldn't do enough damage fast enough even tho it was upgraded to lvl 18. I tried this build without the helmet and first try i beat him. I really appreciate you for sharing this! I know there are ways to cheese him but i wanted to have an actual fight against him and this was fun, i was still nervous throughout the fight lol.

With a little finesse and practice, this method works wonders for his first phase (horse recommended). As for the second-if you have rotten breath, and you can get a good scarlet rot on him twice, that'll take him out. Sometimes the stinkiest cheese is the most delicious.

100% helped so much. I recommend learning the fight enough to get it down to 2nd stage by yourself then using mimic tear to distract its attacks so you can go behind and poke its feet. Get the talisman that increases damage with successive attacks. I used two rapiers with this for quicker attack speed (I used rogiers rapier in my off-hand). Good luck to anyone attempting this! Edit: now in NG+ I recommend getting the same rapier for double rot damage helps a ton.

TYSM! This helped a ton I just hate the bosses with tones of health, another tip though, if you are going to summon spirits don't do it until phase 2, the phase 2 attacks are deadlier so your spirits can tank.

I don't think I would have discovered this unless I watched this video. I actually built the sword and got the additional items and the Giant was a breeze
