HOW TO BEAT ILLAOI AS DARIUS - KNOW YOUR ENEMY

The next installment in our series is the Illaoi matchup. This matchup is very tricky for a lot of Darius players so here are way you can outplay them and use them to gain a lead to snowball the game with.

I'm a diamond illaoi main. This matchup should go like this, lvl 1 - 2 illaoi should only be allowed to farm with her Q. lvl 3 - lv 5 illaoi can only win with 2 tentacles set up and hit her E. After lvl6, illaoi has to hit max range E then ult to win the all in. It's a hard matchup for illaoi if Darius knows her kit well, but most Darius players don't.

imho, level 3-5 darius still wins because the tentacles are slow enough to dodge with ghost but level 6 tentacles are instant so they can only be flashed. still a great analysis though.

@@RhokuTVYea illaoi needs to be near her tower with 2 tentacles set up when she hit her E, then Darius can't contest comfortably. Sadly illaoi is not in a good spot currently after riot introduced 60% grevious wounds and nerfed steraks and gore, she is just a worse version of Darius right now.

when playing an illaoi they will always flash the mastery icon , it is something they need to do to survive, if they dont they will explode from the inside and cease to exist. That is the curse of playing illaoi

yes. He is one of the key matchups I want to make a video on at some point. But Yorick players are so rare, especially the higher up you go, that it probably won't be soon.

RhokuTV I always ban illaoi until a fcking yorick player destroys my game and I ban yorick again. I literally dont know how i should play this matchup... This Cage is so hard to dodge, i dont know if i should kill his ult first or him or the cage or his blue little shitheads. I dont know

Great vid as always I have questions about the Ornn and Maokai matchups (Lol darius player cant kill tanks? what a shitter). No matter what I build or even if I get a few kills I just can't seem to kill them ever even with 5 stacks and full combo and then just lose or go even in lane. Any tips?

Maokai is kidna easier but Ornn is a very tough matchup as he outtrades you SUPER hard. Even if you are winning vs him, I'd still suggest getting cleaver as he is just a big meatball that becomes super hard to kill. Personally, the champion disgusts me but what you basically wanna do in lane is to not trade but only all in him. If you don't all in, you'll walk out of the trade with a disadvantage and he will heal up as he has better sustain through his shop. Mid game, if ur not a few kills ahead of him, you will not have enough time to kill him. Like you can kill him EVENTUALLY but it takes wayy too long. Get 5 stacks from him and focus his teammates instead. Naturally, more details in my guide.
