Thank you for sharing, this will be one of those videos I need to come back to time after time for reminders. Watching someone close to me study medicine helped me realize that even after 10 years, doctors don’t know it all and have to continuously improve and research and that’s the method I plan to use. I’m new to tech and still a student and after 3 weeks of focused and immersed learning, something just randomly clicked!! Then all of a sudden, these technologies and services have begun to flow. I’m at the stage of beginning to understand what I don’t know and I’m grateful for where I am.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I hear a lot of people saying that no company will let a junior touch their backend. I am surprised to hear that you got your first job as a Fullstack developer. Even though I have a degree in computer engineering, I still have a strong impostor syndrome. My last job was not related to programming and I feel like the big challenge is getting your first job as a developer. After that, you just keep improving and you should be fine.

Awesome video. The only thing I did not agree with is that you mention that impostor syndrome goes away with time. Impostor syndrome will kick in even if you have 20 years of experience. Because you will eventually move to a new team, technology, role or company which will trigger your impostor syndrome. If you never feel impostor syndrome, I would challenge you if you are doing things outside of your comfort zone or just doing the same type of tasks over and over again. As you mentioned in the video, there are ways to reduce the impostor syndrome episodes and that is to work on yourself, you mentioned some good points in this video :)

My biggest fear is that someone's going to hire me in tech only because I'm a woman and I won't know anything and I'll make a complete fool of myself. In my pervious jobs/career I knew what I'm doing at ''all'' times. In tech however, I feel like I never know enough. I guess I need to get comfortable sitting in the feeling of being uncomfortable. Btw, a career switcher here :D Thank you for sharing.
